Pros:
+ Concrete Teepads, these aren't the best but they are better than any of the alternatives.
+ Innova Discatcher baskets are always a welcome sight. The added pop of color on the band makes the baskets easier to find in the woods.
+ Nice teesigns. Big enough, colorful enough and they give you all the information that you need.
+ This is a short, fairly wooded course with tight but fair lines. Fairways are fair, the rough is rough.
+ Course flows pretty decently. The walk from 7 to 8 was a bit long but other than that I had no complaints.
Cons:
- Teepads are nice but they are all about a foot or two too short and they are all raised off the ground by a few inches. Its not the biggest deal since all of the holes are short so a long run up is not needed.
- The course seems under-maintained. The holes that are out in the open are usually nicely mowed but the 6 holes that are in the woods dont seem to get cleaned up. There is a small amount of trash throughout the course. The rough is also super rough.
- The course plays away from the parking lot and does not come back to it. You finish hole 9 at the furthest point away on the course. Not how I like to see courses designed but the walk isn't too bad, just annoying.
- Rough is a bit too rough. This course is in need of some TLC. A few lines could use some trimming and the rough is super rough in parts.
Other Thoughts:
I didn't see the homelessness that the other reviews on here and uDisc talk about.(UPDATE, I have since been here a few more times and there is definitely a homeless population here. Pretty sure two of them made a fort in the the middle of the brush on the right side of the tee on hole 9.) The course was muddy but nothing out of the ordinary for a wooded park when it rained that day. If this course was heavily tracked then it could get real bad but it's not bad.
Overall this is just another short, wooded, park style 9 holer. Nothing crazy on either spectrum, its easy but not turn your brain off easy. I would really only recommend this course if you are in the area and are looking for a short simple course. Nothing stands out as a must play about this course.
