Mad-City Tunnel Fest 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 6, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

+Best possible use of this city park. Usually when I'm playing city park courses I wonder why they did or didn't do something. I couldn't really think of any obvious improvements to this course while playing.
+A few ace runs due to distance but you still have to put your disc on a good line to avoid obstacles.
+High fun factor here, ace runs, tunnels, well placed trees.
+Shouldn't lose a disc on this course unless it gets stuck in a tree/bush.
+Good mix of holes. Possibly too many tunnels but overall a good balanced course. There are multiple lines to each hole but even if you throw over, you are still at risk of hitting trees on your way back into play. No real gimme holes.
+Good variety of distance. On average, longer than most park courses.
+Nice concrete tees of adequate size
+Great color signage.
+Course flows well and is easy to navigate.

Cons:

-Flat, no elevation.
-This course is in the middle of nowhere.
-It's only 9 holes.
-Maybe too many tunnels. 2 per 9 hole is a fun novelty but 2-5 are all tunnels. Maybe it would have helped more if they were more spread out within the course.

Other Thoughts:

+This is a great small town course. Solid but unspectacular land for discing but with a great design. This is a fun course that would be great for many to have as a home course but especially those in a smaller town.
+I'll stop back if I'm ever in the area again. Don't know why I would be but if I am, I'll play.

Pleasant, Easy Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 3, 2016 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

- Located on city park, so essentially all the inbound area is mowed.
- Brand new pads and baskets - really nice
- Easy layout, perfect for introducing friends or family to disc golf for the first time.
- Alternates between tunnel and wide open shots

Cons:

- Like the rest of west central MN, the course is flat.

Other Thoughts:

- This really is a perfect course for introducing new players, it's all pretty forgiving to errant throws.
- You will certainly find more challenging courses, but this had its own challenges of very straight and narrow tunnels. The great thing is that it doesn't punish you with a 10 minute search for your disk if you get off the fairway.

Pros:

It has Mach-X baskets and great tee pads. It has some really tight tunnels mixed with some more open shots. It offers players to practice shorter shots combined with some big throws. It is a great course, and it you are passing by you should really play it.

Cons:

Some of the trees aren't fully grown so most people will throw over them. Play the tunnels!! It's more fun.

Other Thoughts:

Great job designing it Eric!
