Meh, not as expected 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 26, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Aesthetic--Plays through the woods and near baseball/softball fields. There may be hiking trails around here so watch your plastic.

Baskets-- nice and new DisCatchers. Helpful to be able to find in the thick woods

Teepads-- nice, large and level. No angles or major damage issues.

Cons:

Teesignage/maps-- These can be a bit misleading. There are a lot of massive turnover shots that can be misinterpreted due to the teesigns. We found ourselves walking the vast majority of fairways to spot baskets due to the inconsistencies of the teesignage.

Navigation--Finding the first tee is a bit of a nightmare. From there, it's not terrible. See above for some issues with teesign navigation

Variety-- There is some variety here with tunnels to open shots etc but there are a lot of turnovershots (RHBH) off the tee that heavily favor forehand players or lefties (LHBH)

Facilities-- Holy moly this course is in the middle of nowhere. and there are literally no facilities near the course. pack in pack out and hope you don't need to drop a deuce.

Other Thoughts:

definitely not as expected from the previous review. Just wonky lines and misleading teesigns. Overall, rated typical for that reason.

A hidden gem 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 1, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Large cement teepads were a nice surprise.
Signs provided good navigation between holes and signs at each teepad gave good general idea of where the basket was.
They made very good use of the property, I don't think they could have done it much better.
Baskets were all in good shape.
They did a nice job of varying the distance of each hole.
They clearly put a lot of hard work into this course and those involved should be commended for that.
The course itself was in perfect condition and very dry despite a lot of rain recently.

Cons:

Actual distance of holes seemed a bit off (much shorter) from what they put on the signs.
Some holes are a bit too close to one another, could be a problem for tournaments or if a bunch of people are on the course. That's really not a huge issue though.

Other Thoughts:

It was a very fun, short course. If you like wooded technical courses, you will like it. If you like courses with long holes, you probably won't like it.
I will play again, when in the area. I personally loved it and it was one of my favorite rounds in awhile.
Your hard work on this course is appreciated and it is only a matter of time before the word gets out on the course.
