Goodbye yellow brick road 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 5, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

With the land up for sale and the course almost certain to close, I want to thank Darrell for his generosity and amazing work.

Anyone with a chance to throw TinLid can testify to its magnificent design, rugged beauty, and scenic vistas.

I will miss marching up those foothills!

Cons:

Closing/closed. :( Gasp! It's true.

Other Thoughts:

Looking forward to seeing TinLid 2!

Very nice course. Play it. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 16, 2016 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Beautiful piece of land. Mix of holes. 9 shorter holes on the hill in the woods. 9 on the flat, more open longer shots. Pro shop with lots of discs.

Cons:

It's new and still developing. Needs some tweaking Will be a great course when complete.

Other Thoughts:

Worth the trip to Peterborough to play the course in a beautiful setting. Pro shop has a lot to choose from. Owner/operator is very helpful and enthusiastic about the game.

Tinlid Keene ON 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 9, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

An excellent collection of long open holes with tightly wooded holes - both on the same hole sometimes! Excellent use of elevation, sweet innova disccatcher baskets and teepads that are top notch. You have to play this course when you are in the area of Peterborough, ON. The pro shop has a great selection of discs and other accessories. The course is well maintained and under constant improvement. A full on-site driving range with baskets 100/200/300 out is on the grounds. But the best thing about this course is the natural setting that has become our favourite place to be! Rolling hills, beautiful sunsets and skies, farmers fields in the distance and lots of live nature to spot!

Cons:

The course is less than two years old, so as more and more work goes into this course it will get better and better!

Other Thoughts:

There's also a sheltered area, benches/seating and an outhouse. Parking is avaible and is steps from walking onto the 1st, 9th tees and range.

TinLid 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 9, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Darrell Bankes (the man behind the course... his knowledge of the game, his hospitality, and all of his hard work are what make this place A MUST play)
-The tee pads were not completely finished when I played but they have been finished since. The ones we played were excellent and I'm sure the others turned out great. I love the fact that he used the turf pads instead of rubber or concrete just to make it a bit more unique compared to other courses.
-The layout of the course is perfect for the topography.
-Brand new Innova Discatcher baskets
-The PRO SHOP was ridiculous. He had so much custom stamped merch that was course specific and even offered me the chance to buy a disc off of his "wall of fame".
-The driving range (what other course do you know of with a driving range?)
-The close proximity to Muddy's Pit BBQ (a local gem for beer & bbq)
-Every hole was unique and memorable. Woods, water, hills, open, etc.... you want it, this course has it!

Cons:

-Not finished but very close to being top notch quality after still being so young. Darrell has worked hard to produce a great course that has the potential to be a very great destination disc golf course.

Other Thoughts:

-Just go, if you are debating making the trip just do yourself a favor and GO. Stop at Viamede while you are in the area as well!

Turf tees are a + for Tinlid 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 8, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Turf tees rock! Good use of elevation, woods and open areas. Water comes into play on 2 holes. Nice varied holes and demands on the thrower. Innova Baskets are great.

Cons:

course needs to age a bit but the potential for awesomeness is there.

Other Thoughts:

Peterborough area is pickin' it up. Excited to see what's next!
