Blue Heron Disc Golf Course
-The course is extremely well maintained, and rather easy to navigate
-each hole has three set of tees: the white tees have cement tee boxes and the red & blue are natural
-each tee has signage which indicates length and a rough map of each hole (although hole #5 was...

-the course was fairly easy to navigate even my first time there
-free to play and to park
-the natural tees were all clearly marked
-the course makes a full single loop back to the beginning
-the back side of the park there is a small hill which leads to there being some elevation change on...

Puttputtforthefunofit!
-This is a great place to work on your short game, and does have some potential if several improvements were made.
-It's a tight, technical course that doesn't allow for error (since a poor shot could wind up across a street, over a fence to a baseball diamond, into a...

read my "other thoughts" first
-it's a short little par 3 that has improved since the last time i attempted to play here. i was actually able to navigate my way around the now 9 holes (as MattK indicated there were only 8)
-it's free to play and park
-this is an okay course, with some woods. it...
i first read this thread last year when it was fresh, and the gazelle peaked my interest then. while shopping for a friend over the winter i came across one a kept it for myself. i just had a chance to use it this past weekend and i love it! i'm headin back to that same store this weekend to see...
great thread. thanks! i haven't been on in a while and saw the "guiding' feature and had no clue what it was. i just signed up to be a guide at about 4 local courses. knowing the course will be my only advantage since i don't have a great long or short game:(
i don't think so. they rented a shelter was all. i even popped into the park office to pick up a disc and score card, prior to starting my round and they made no mention of it. i was gonna complain ion the way out, but the office was closed
i was out playing yesterday, i was at beaver island and holes 6-8 have a nice fairway along the river. it usually happens that there are picnicker's around 7, so you always try n shoot your best since there's an audience. well not yesterday. these people were having a wedding with a giant tent...

a very good hike
This was my first trip to Rochester, and i will definitely check this course out again. As it's been mentioned there is a degree of elevation change, and for me coming from Buffalo it was a welcome change as our course play mostly flat. The course has a few hyzers and annies...

Caution: May need hip waders!
A fairly technical course. The mando's really make some holes a challenge. The isn't much of a grade difference in the terrain, but it makes up for it with numerous annie's and hyzer's.
I really like this course. There is a definite difference between the white and...

The shear length of the course makes for a good outing. There are several hyzer and annie holes, and well planted trees/hedges do make for some technical shots on the straighter ones. I really like this course and it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
As most have already mentioned...
we'll look as long as possible, everyone i play with is a casual player. i personally have only lost one disc, and that was to a lake. that was not the first time i shot into the water, but was certainly the deepest.
we once spent at least 45 minutes trying to de-lodge a disc that was stuck at...

A tough par 3
This course is heavily wooded and has a variety a terrain changes. There is a mix of annies and hyzers and a few straight a ways.
The holes are mostly on the short side. There was an addition of a few holes and some of the tees were re-numbered, even with a score card the course...
