Had a little left on an Amazon card so picked up a Troll on my seemingly-constant quest to replace the Banshee. Seems like the Troll might not be as overstable, but hey can't beat the price
That's weird because I actually love it for forehand. I can throw it way harder forehand than I can any of my Ghosts and the Alien just goes laser straight.
I go back to my original assertion that this thing is damned glideless though. Because it can take power and torque, but it just isn't...
Currently the Infinite Discs Raze and any one of my Innova Banshees.
Raze because it's new-ish and I'm still figuring it out, but loving throwing it on a whole variety of angles. Banshee because it's totally reliable and you always know what you're going to get.
Very cool, always love to see RDG expanding their lineup. Far too fast for me, but I think this mold could be especially popular here in the forums and for other hard-core discers. Might even draw in some new throwers to the RDG brand!
I've tried mine a bunch, but I can't find a use for it. It's not glideless, but it has way lower glide than you think. It's not particularly fast out of the hand, and is crazy sensitive to any type of angle imperfections. It's not touchy, but it punishes an unclean release. Might be enjoyable...
I'll have to let you know when I beat one in. The Halo S-Blend is crazy beefy, so who knows. The I-Blend still straight-to-fade for me, but I havent had it that long. I mean, really they all share the same rim so might as well just try 'em all. By the time winter rolls around, I'm sure my main...
Happy 10th birthday to this thread I created while stationed in Korea. Awesome to see it going, even if I have switched to Infinite Discs Roman's for this slot
P-Line Romans would be amazing. I found my Halo to be a little too beefy, but amazing for forehand. There may be a level of torque that would flip my Halo Roman on a forehand throw, but I do not possess it.
Anyone using these puddletop X-Blends? I just got three for putting practice and they feel great. I always Iiked the Yeti Aviars from Innova, and these Alpacas, being Bradley's, feel even better.
They fly the same with my spin putt as standard Alpacas. I'll get them out to a field eventually to...
Weird that there isn't more discussion about this disc here on the forums. I have one on the way to potentially be a premium plastic Banshee replacement....let's see how it goes!
My dad was a Frisbee player who took up disc gold in the 80s, and never bothered to learn how to do a disc golf throwing motion versus a Wham-O throwing motion. So I got him a Kite and while it obviously doesn't fly like a Frisbee, it was super easy for him to control and he could get great...
Yikun had that stable-stable lid...the Claws...and that thing was awesome until it took a hard hit. This looks like it could fly similar to that, but perhaps farther. I mean I'm definitely buying a Star Alien, but this might be more gimmicky than useful
In my long, but not very good, experience, I've always found it best to just beat up my go-to mid. For me, that's Ghosts from Legacy currently and Rocs from Innova in the past. If that isnt in your timeframe, I have to reccomend either the Legacy Gauge or the Infinite Discs Anubis
