Review by chadair in course Stampede Reservoir

4.00 star(s) "Light" Mountain Golf Beautiful location with a great mix of elevation, backhand/forehand holes, and short technical holes. The wind will really change how you play some holes. On a sunny weekend I found it relatively uncrowded. Teepads were in good shape, though a one could step off the drop on...

[Westside] War Horse - Overstable driver by Westside Discs

My Opto Warhorse is slightly more stable than my Gladiator. Sits between a Gladiator and a Elasto Giant in stability. At my 350' max power, I can't get it to turn at all, but I have yet to try into a stiff headwind. I typically won't carry a Warhorse in my bag, as my Gladiator covers a lot of...

    [Selling] Trilogy- many lightweight

How flippy are the Stags? They both fly about the same, and I haven't thrown full weight Stags for comparison. They definitely have moderate turn, about like an River or FD, but they also have a strong fade. Nice S curve flight.

    [Vs.] Defender vs. Giant

Plastic type seems to matter a lot for Giants. A broken-in Recycled Giant will fly like your Sword. An Elasto Giant is beefy and fairly glideless. Air Giants are interesting for those like me with weaker arms, and have a nice S curve without being too wild in windy conditions. I have about 12...

[Compare] "Trilogy" better distance than Innova?

My longest drives have been with my Star Terns around 165g. But I have to buy 4 of them to get one in the stability I want. It's a finicky disc that has cost me more strokes than it has saved I'm afraid. I've tried to replace Terns with Trilogy stuff - Halo, Frost Havoc, Freedom, Air Trespass...

    [Latitude] Trilogy flight ratings update

Good point, disc "speed" is really how quickly they lose speed (drag) and the speed at which adequate lift is generated (lift coefficient). Even without a machine to launch discs consistently and a radar gun to track deceleration, I do think you can get a sense of speed with the human eye...

    [Latitude] Trilogy flight ratings update

Glad to see Trilogy correcting their past flight number mistakes. Most of these do improve the accuracy relative to other Trilogy discs and are a more in line with Innova. Many of the new flight ratings are spot-on, but there are some that have me scratching my head.... Core is a speed 6, while...

    [Westside] Westside tursas

Tursas and Warrant have similar high speed turn, but the Tursas has a bit of fade. Thus, the Warrant will hold an anny line all the way to the ground, whereas the Tursas will flatten out of it at the end. Tursas might have a bit more glide also. I find the Tursas to be more controllable, and it...
