Review by sbinwien in course Sylmar DGC

4.00 star(s) Fun and Challenging Great variety. Good course for all skill levels. Multiple pin positions are nice, but I have not played often enough to notice the difference. Short holes for big arms. The rocks and soil on the last 2/3 of the course will make short work of DX and Pro-D plastic. I had a...

4.00 star(s) Tough terrain and tougher flora Good use of the terrain. Challenging course. Course is more for advanced players. Many tee boxes are non existent. You stand on a pile of rocks. All the bushes and trees have thorns. Parts of the course are shared with trials motorcycles, archery, etc. It is...

    Fade tourney

I have the FADE Tournament bag and am very happy with it. I think it is the best deal for the price. I also bought the FADE back straps with the rain hood built in. I just wanted to let you know about some differences with more expensive bags. 1) the side pockets are half width, since they...

4.50 star(s) Fun for All Levels Front 9 has 2 sets of tee boxes. The course is great for beginners and advanced players. Back 9 is for big arms. One par 4 and one par 5. Great use of the terrain. Trimmed grass, rolling hills, trees. Nice club house. Serves drinks now and should have some food in the...

Review by sbinwien in course Wagrain DGC

3.50 star(s) Wet and Muddy, even in summer Very challenging. Lots of steep elevation change. 6 of the holes were on a steep slope of the ski resort and it was just deep mud. Should probably play in rain boots or very high water proof hiking boots.

4.00 star(s) Fun for all levels Good use of the terrain. Fun for beginners and advanced players. Beautiful scenery Lots of blueberries at the end of summer. 14 holes is short, so I try to play 2 rounds Not a fan of wood chip tee boxes.

Review by sbinwien in course Elysian Park - Chavez Ridge

3.00 star(s) Nice course but it could be much better. They have a great location and could make a much greater variety. Instead, most holes are at the top of the ridge, so if you don't play the hillside right, you go all the way down to the bottom. On most holes, the slope is always to the left, because...

    Dead Right but Long

Two of the big guns at a tournament suggested keeping your head in line with your shoulders, so not necessarily locking onto the target. They both thought that keeping your head in place robbed you of power from your core and legs. This was the first time I heard this advice and then it was...

    Hyzer-Flip vs Wrist-Roll

I keep meaning to play a putter only rounds, but when I get their I fill my bag with discs... The funny thing is how I really do use the putters a lot. 90% of my second throws are with the Putter, but I only drive with them on short holes (<250). I know they should be the control driver for...

    Hyzer-Flip vs Wrist-Roll

Thanks for the disc reminder. It has been a while since I practice driving with putters. I will have spend some time with them again. The distance at which the Avenger SS disc turns into the ground was the reason I was thinking of OAT. Garub: Thanks for the DX Tee-Bird recommendation a...

    Hyzer-Flip vs Wrist-Roll

I completely agree with you. I am doing something different with this disc that I do not do with the Tee-Bird or Roadrunner. I will give it a try. Thanks!

    Hyzer-Flip vs Wrist-Roll

The disc is not worn. It is used, but not really broken in yet. The Roadrunner is what throws me off too. I would expect to do the same thing with the Roadrunner.
