I really like that run of Luster JLS's too especially the opaque ones. When I found out how good that plastic was and for only $13 I picked up a bunch! Even the lightweight ones are good! Does the teebird3 have the same top as the JLS too?
So I've been throwing the Drew Gibson Luster Leopard3 since 2018 and it's finally breaking in a little and I mean just a smidge. Does Metal Flake/MFG take a really long time to beat in too? I accidentally hit concrete with the luster leo3 and it slid across the asphalt. I picked it up expecting...
This disc is Gangbusters! Lost my ace race heat 4 or 5 years ago and this might be the closest thing to it. 6 glide definitely seems like an understatement. Throw it smooth and flat and it goes super straight with a nice straight skip.
Being able to throw lightweight fairways with control is really good form practice too. 150g eagle L is one of the straightest disc once you learn to control it... besides a luster JLS(just long&str8)
The one and only time I threw 400+ on flat ground felt and looked a amazing! It was so windy and my disc was so light that it hyzer flipped twice! I threw it about 5 feet off the ground on a slight hyzer. The disc flipped and started turning to the right. Then out of nowhere the wind blew the...
The best annys in distance competitions are thrown on a hyzer release lol. I would like to add that there is something satisfying about throwing a lightweight Flippy destroyer into a head wind as long as you have the right release angle. I had a blazing headwind on a hole where the basket is to...
If you're just playing casually for fun with friends then bring the discs you enjoy throwing. If you're trying to get the lowest score possible bring your best disc for every tee shot, upshot, etc for each hole on the particular course being conquered.
So my max distance disc for wide open holes is a 150g disc that is basically a blizzard Destroyer. Before stopping 2 years ago I got it to go 400ft 1 time and was probably averaging around 340-360 with it on the course (hardpan not grass). This disc was a hyzerflip machine!
I recently got back...
According to my notes, the Omega is a putter from 1995 that uses the mold of the small bead Aviar. Delta T is the new plastic from millennium that is a combination of "dx and pro".
I suggest going to a pro shop that lets you throw the discs before buying. If this doesn't exist near you then I would suggest a DX or Pro Leopard and a lightweight DX Eagle. 7 speed discs should hold you over until you can throw over 300. The Pros can throw both these discs 500 plus easy.
Having lots of putters is great for putter only rounds. When I first started playing I had 0 putters and 1 driver Elite z avenger ss. Now 6 years later I have about 8 putters and bag about 2-4.
Maybe try a more stable disc in pro plastic. Like a pro Orc like around 160-165g. It's going to start out more stable but it should be less prone to flipping over into a roller. After a couple rounds it should break in and the Pro plastic will maintain the sweet spot longer than dx. Trying to...
Pro has the glide almost like the old champion plastic. It's straight life is probably between rounds 3-9. After that just start to slightly add more hyzer. This is my experience with a Pro Orc. A Pro Leopard would probably start straight on round 1 but form and arm speed are going to create...
