Adidas Terrex X GTX

damn not my size. does the goretex really hold up on the terrex? All my previous DG shoes have been goretex and they all failed. just thinking now about a normal shoe with seal skinz

I've had my first pair for about 15 months and I think they started to wear after about a year. They're great shoes; there's a reason they retail at $165.

That's what I'm using now. About 8 months in and holding up great

I wanted these shoes to be the one, but as someone prone to ankle sprains I find that these shoes have a steep edge that encourages the roll on dry/hard surfaces. I wear 'em, but I'm still looking.

Care to elaborate? I just ask because as someone that has had serious ankle issues since middle school, I find these shoes to be better than the keen targhees that I wore for 6+ years.

I ain't no shoe or ankle specialist, but in my opinion the lug/tread near the outside edge is steep and inset of the edge of the shoe just enough to encourage my ankle to roll... almost like a molded cleat. Happened a couple of pretty stupid times.

I've been liking these a lot, although the ankle doesn't offer much support. http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/ua-fthr-shield-trc-storm-running-shoes/pid1245748-825

I haven't really worn mine or broke them in but just from putting them on and walking around the house they are not very comfortable. First they are not as wide as I was expecting especially for being addidas. 2nd, it seems like I'm higher off the ground and feels like I'm going to roll an ankle. 3rd, the mid section thins out around the 3 stripes and they are very stiff and feel uncomfortable. I'm still debating about giving them a chance and play in them or just return them.
My Salomon Synapse I also purchased are amazing! They are rediculously comfy like I'm walking on kittens. I'm going to order the non-waterproof versions next time they sierra has 35% off and free shipping.

I got mine in Friday.

I have similar feelings on the fit, but actually like them for that. They are a bit more narrow than I anticipated, but other than that really enjoy the feel. I like a tighter feeling fit. Feels more supportive. I have really high arches and these support that well.

I have wore minamalist shoes for the last year and a half (besides my boots for work) and these are a little different than I'm used to for sneakers. They kind of have a work boot type feeling.

Hopefully later today I'll get some throws in. I did run around on wet concrete while raining yesterday and they gripped FANTASTICALLY. Better than most Vibram, which really surprised me. I wear Vibram soles on my work boots and haven't found anything better for my work

My quick laces broke, so they refunded me and I got some Merrell Proterra instead. I'm glad I made the change.

BOOM! Just ordered a pair! I've always loved Adidas shoes and since I was looking for something to replace my Merrill Moabs, which are 3 years old, I knew I had to get these once I saw them. I don't drag my toe (that I know of) anymore like I did before I had my Moabs. I liked the Moabs until they lost their ability to keep my feet dry and the shoe laces were usually annoying. Really looking forward to getting these in the mail:)
