Not Bad For A Small Town 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 5, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Brand New DiscCatchers, Concrete Tees, Multiple Pin Locations. Well Kept, litter free park. Signs at each pin location for distances. Short Tees have a hole picture. Some small challenges on 3 or 4 holes.

Cons:

Short. The longest hole is about 240 from the concrete. Most holes are wide open. Little obstacles or shade. Not really worth going out of the way to play, but if you live in, or are in the area, its worth a play.

Other Thoughts:

Before I actually got around to playing this course I must have drove by it at least 10 times. I even pulled in the parking lot once and decided it was not worth it. The course actually plays a lot better then it looks from the outside.
This could be a great park in a few years when the trees get bigger. I really enjoy playing this park to boost my confidence. I usually finish at least -7, and I am horrible at DG. Good place to bring your kids to learn DG. There is also two playgrounds on site, and great views of the rail system.

Rookies 1st review 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 30, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

Seems like a good course to play to see if you might be interested in Disc Golf. I have played it twice now and am hooked!!! This course is gentle enough for a beginner like myself yet my friends who have been playing a while seem to enjoy it as well.

Cons:

Pretty wide open, I am looking forward to trying a more mature course.

Great fun beginners course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 4, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

This is a brand new course in a young, clean park. The baskets, pads, signs are all pristine. The park is small but the layout seems open. This is a fun park for beginners to learn on and advanced players to hone their short game. Every hole is an ace opportunity if you can drive 275 feet which is the longest distance from tee to basket.

Cons:

Other than the advanced tees being next to the fence on three of the holes, there is not much bad to say about this course except that it is a bit far for a 9 hole course if you are not in the North West part of the Metroplex.

Other Thoughts:

There are great tree placements that when mature, will make for some great skill shots to complete the ace.

Hole 9 for instance is in the center of a ring of young oak trees. In a few years this hole may be a local favorite.

There is a small pond on the left side of hole two with very tall reeds that will eat your disc. You'll want to stay right of the basket on this one.

There is not a lot of shade yet, so play early in the morning or in the evening during the Summer. You can get 9 holes in 30 minutes easy from the short or advanced tees.

By the way, there is only a 20 foot difference between the short tees and middle, and another 20 feet from the middle to advanced in most cases.
