[Gateway] Anyone like the Warlock?

Neither the Aviar P&A nor the Classic have a bead currently. Both are nearly indistinguishable from the Warlock profile.

Thanks and I did forget the P&A that had the small bead is not made at the moment as it has been since mind to late 2000's since Innova made that mold as a production run. Now it is just the BB and beadles versions being made. There is a Classic Grid Aviar with a small bead to it from 1990's, that is my moms main putter used from a cousin who found it on a course in early 2000's with only a first name on it but he did not want is nether did my bother after his first full season of play. I got her the new Classic Grid Aviar for her birthday as a back up and just by chance the one at the Store well Walmart as local sports store does not carry a the disc type anymore as people just buy them, in same weight as hers 172 grams just happened to have the same grid color of silver. It is the Classic Grid Aviar shape to the old grid Aviar just with a small bead. Cool that both the P&A and Classic have the same shape as the as the Worlock, just the Worlock seems to be inbetween the Classic Grid and the P&A.

My understanding is that the Omega mold is the old small bead Aviar

Anyone pick up any of the PWP Warlocks that are up currently on https://gatewaydiscsportsdirect.bigcartel.com/ Feel like I should pull the trigger. Occasionally, I want a little more glide and a hair less fade than my wizards. Do it, someone be the early adopter and let us know how they fly.

I'll have 6 of them by 8pm tomorrow... Giving them a shot as I love my wizards but not a huge fan of the bead.

As close as Millennium will get to the Avair mold with the Omega. Now unless the Omega says specifiacally it is a Big Bead on the Omega you have nearly a small bead. with the Big bead that is how you get an Aviar Big Bead mold or close to it in a DX plastic for a production mold not made as an Aviar Big Bead in DX anymore, up to late 2016 you could still find the Aviar Big Bead in DX new online as a limited or specialty run from online disc company's I think Wright Flyer the Colorado based company was one of them.

The Wizard without a bead is the...Voodo?

Actually the Voodoo is closer in shape to a beadless Wizard than a Warlock. Wizard and Voodo are bullet shaped both above and below the parting line, whereas the Warlock is beveled down.

But yeah, this is a Warlock thread -.-

Not really, but neither is the Warlock. I think the upper part of the mold of Wizard and Warlock are the same, but lower half is different not just bead vs no bead. As Kev said, Warlock is beveled below the parting line.

Yeah, the Warlock is not a beadless Wizard.

The Warlock has the thin-in-the-middle/beefy-at-the-edge flight plate like the Wizard with a beadless Aviar-copy wing.

The Voodoo is a Wizard with a Microbead, probably as close to a "beadless Wizard" as you will get.

The Magic looks like a Wizard and an 86 Softie had a baby. :|

I blame infinitediscs...
The Warlock is the beadless (no bump around the bottom rim) version of the popular Wizard putt and approach disc. This is a neutral flying putter that is slightly more understable than the Wizard. The Warlock is both a great driving and putting putter available in a variety of popular Gateway plastic blends.

Or should I blame Gateway themselves for this misinformation?

Lets try to clarify what the differences in molds seem to be. Regardless, USPS delayed my shipment until tomorrow.

Wizard - the original mold

Warlock - took the wizard and filled in below the part line a straight line angle to make the beveled edge

Voodoo - Took the wizard and illed in below the part line a rounded edge at the bottom to make a micro bead

I as helping a guy on here who hated the Wizard bead but loved the bullet shape nose.

The PW Warlocks have a slightly different feel in the hand as compared to the Warlocks I was putting with last season. Even though most warlocks are flat...these somehow feel flatter to me. Great driving putter for sure.

The shoulder is lower/more narrow and on the PW warlocks which makes them feel flatter.

How is everybody liking the new PW plastic? It looks like Gateway has pressed Magics and Voodoos now too.

I would put the current PW mix up against any manufacturers firmer baseline plastic(Innova KC, Trilogy Hard, Prodigy 350, Discraft CT, etc.)

Having thrown all four GDS putter molds in PW, I can honestly say that they took some of the best putters in the game and made them even better.
