[Innova] The Valkyrie, a discussion.........

I might give a pro valk a shot. Didnt know they made them. I currently have a champ, star, and dx inny bag. Going to add a second champ very soon though.

I have two champ valks both 175. One seasoned one new, and they straight up bomb on a Hyzerflip. However, released flat gets that nice valk s turn that I love. Awesome disc.

I just got a Factory Second Champ Valk as a Tourney prize. Do they all have the + rim now, or was it just the one I picked up? If I could find one with a straighter rim, I would be throwing it practically all the time. I love the flight of it (flies a lot like my flippy Destroyer), but a little slower and more controllable. I just despise the 'plus' rim because I can't get anything near a consistent release.

Boy I hope not. I only got 1 champ too. They better not have the +rim.

I learned to throw with a roadrunner but went to a valk once I had an idea of how to throw. I love the thing I can make it do anything really. Easy to throw and get distance with. I started with a champ though I broke that one in so that it dives towards the ground on a flat release after about 100 feet. My new star factory second valk is 168 (champ was 175) it throws so well. My all around straight driver.

The only thing I dont understand is I have heard several people say that the Valkyrie is the worst disc ever made? Why? I undestand that some people dont like them, but worst ever? Either way I am thinking of picking up another champ for a little more stability for something in between that and my wraith. Favorite disc by far

I used to throw Valk's back when i wasnt able to get much distance on my drives. Its a great disc for beginners and people who dont have the biggest arms. To get maximum distance now, I tend to use boss's, xcals, or apes. Dont really get to use my full drive potential much because i never get to play any courses with holes that are 500+... havent really tried destroyers out much, recently picked one up and started to experiment because of all the hype they are getting.

^ Agreed on the beating up, but I have found a huge difference in off the shelf stability between many of the Champ plastic runs. I have found that Star is more consistent.

My new one is a flat top gummy plus rim....and it is nice and stable

You've got some of the prettiest discs.

I love myself a Valk, I have 3 in my bag. 167 beat in champ, 163 beat in star(flippiest one) and a fairly new 161 champ plus.

Some of my longest drives ever have been with the 167. More birdies with that disc than any other disc currently in my bag.

whats the best production plastic to get a valkyrie in?

Best how? Either way I'd say Pro. The Pro Valk+ I have is one of my favorite drivers, and it seems decently durable. I don't use it on tight holes, but it's taken some good whacks and no noticeable warping or anything. TONS of glide!!!

Seasoned Echo* Valk max weight was my tool of choice at Napa this past weekend parking anhyzer holes to the chagrin of my buddies and their wallets.

I believe the flow is an almost spot on copy of a wraith. I know that my gl flow fliespretty much the sameas a slightly heavier champ wraith

I lost my favorite Champ Valk the other day.
I feel a little empty inside.

Man, my game would be over without my suuuuper beat Champ Valkyrie. Currently working on getting a GL River seasoned up to replace it when it inevitably gets misplaced.

If I losed mine.. Well. Actually that wouldn't be happening. I would find it. After that I would retire it most likey. Then go out of my way to replace it.

I have been trying to find a replacement for my star valk. I have come to the conclusion that I will never find one. I better keep and eye out when I throw

My first disc was a valk

It was the DX kind though and it has seen better days. I tried throwing it today and it flips on me every time. It's a shame because that was the disc I could throw the furthest.

I found a star orc a few days ago with no name or number and there was no one else on the course. That has pretty much replaced the valk in my bag. Ironically enough, I found the orc because my valk landed right next to it.
