[MVP] Mvp Amp

Figured I'd just knock out a Tuning Basics for this one... better than 10 paragraphs. :hfive:

Any Q's lemme know... feel free to prerube me and/or quote this post in a relevant thread.

are u guys trying to copy the epic tuning?
Tuning a disc isn't exclusive to the Epic... it's useful on most drivers in premium plastic. This type of tuning is more even and doesn't have the same drastic effects as Epic tuning.

IIRC Epic tuning is about one or more significant flight-altering bends, which look like tree hits. Normal disc tuning like this applies an even treatment all around the rim of the disc, to get a uniform change in PLH.

I never knew you could tune a disc besides the Epic. That looks like it would ruin the disc, but obviously Zam has been doing it with success for a long while now. Pretty awesome stuff.

This was a big craze on DGR a few years ago, and the results can be phenomenal. For instance a Wraith tuned overstable can be a better Teerex than a Teerex. It gets into balancing the resistance factors of a disc.

I did this a lot for people in the store... they lost a beat one and wanted a brand new one, or they wanted new life in a flippy veteran. I'd demonstrate this method, tune it just a tick +/- and let them try the new disc on the driving range, then they'd tune it to taste.

Yep we used a sparkle red. Tried a few different reds and that one looked the best. You can barely see the sparkle because of the print size but it shows up well on the light above the first run

we're gonna run more, they just won't have the 1st Run part. i think those blanks arrive later this week. glad y'all are enjoying them!

non-1st runs will be 18.99, just like the pre-order for the 1st run

Once I can throw again, I am going to try the tune deal on my Amps...once I can actually throw them and determine how they fly that is. Threw the testers at DN with a bad shoulder and they did OK, but I could tell I was was weak on the throw. With the weakness, they flew Tbirdish to beat Tbirdish or so. Sadly, it will take a while to build the shoulder back up. To make matters worse, today, I got a cortisone shot in each wrist. Now, not only can I not throw with power.....I can't even hold the disc for more than a second or two.:wall::wall::wall:

:\

Why I ought to...

Yeah, thanks for devaluing our purchases now that we'll no longer be special.

The first run is special read the thread. Production stamped amp amps don't get the first run details with the red accents. If anything it could drive up the value.

Only 500 were stamped with the first run red accents. Who cares if they release more and it's not disc nations job to make sure your disc with their stamp holds any value.

Yes the first run amplifier amp will be very rare. The first run accent stamp will not be used again. From here on out, only single stamped amplifiers
