[Other] Show off your broken discs/fallen soldiers

wish i had a picture for the story im about to tell lol

One of my buddies i never disced with before tagged along with me one day a couple years. I picked him up from his house all he brought out was this 20yr old grid aviar. I was like wtf your only gonna use that beat up old putter. Hes says its the only disc i need i've only used this disc for 4 years. As i was baffled i said alright whatever. so we start the round and hes actually not doing bad but we get to the fourth hole littered with trees. tees up hits the first tree 10feet from the disc and the disc explodes into like 5 pieces. The look on his face was priceless he was so sad and didn't play the rest of the round. i threw a jab in there with the hows that one disc for everything working out for you now line.

A 50 foot jump putt gone bad....

Omg.. This made me cringe

A couple of the pictures people say they broke their Putter putting? I've had two discs break lifetime off drives and I play ALOT of dg. I feel for you, it would be a sad day if I threw my putter thinking I'm making a nice putt and it hits the basket and cracks. Actually I change my mind that would be hilarious

Classic Roc

Just broke my classic Roc on the weekend .... And I had retired it for a year but I dragged it out because I couldn't find my new replacement ( was in the wife's car , in her bag ) . I'll post a pic tonite when I get home from work , got a few dead soldiers !

Cool Thread! I had no idea anyone kept broken discs. I have broken several but the only ones I can remember are a couple of P&A Aviars and Sonics, a Rattler and a MaceMan Roc with a cool celtic/vine logo which I got from the 2005 or 2006 USDGC. The only one I really miss is the Roc because the plastic was a little less firm than the 11x Rocs and I had traded the only similar one like it to a guy I never saw again after 2007. They all made it into the recycle bin shortly after.

I didn't have the heart to just throw it out after it treated me so good for so many years. I will check tonight to make sure the wife didn't toss it in the garbage.

I mourned that putter for a month...and then pulled a fresh one off the stack finally. Oh how I do miss my CT challengers.

Ok guys, I have a very sad "fallen soldier" story......

Through a mutual friend I met Ken Climo last summer. He stayed at my house for 8 days in July while playing in the 2012 World Championship in Charlotte. As a gift I ended up with his original CE Teebird that he has owned since brand new, but had been stashed away in his personal collection for many years. The disc was in great condition, but I wanted to clean a few dirty spots off under some hot water, and this happened....

Needless to say I was sick to my stomach, I destroyed a priceless gift :(

I have several chopped up blizzard disc fron mowers at west city......not mine originally but everyone likes a broken blizzard
