Thought I would repost this since it got lost at the bottom of a fading thread a couple pages ago. How many of you would of gone for a two on that particular last hole with a 1 shot lead already? Then having the composure to park hole 1 in the playoff after that debacle, not sure too many players could step up an pull that off given the circumstances.

Hopefully zero of us would go for 2 there. You dont get extra points or money for getting a win by more than 1 stroke.

I see your point, but he made his tourney on playing aggressive, you can't just stop what you are doing (that's been working) on the last hole. It's like in basketball or football when teams stop playing their game and start trying to not lose, that's when mistakes happen.

I wouldn't have been in the position to have to make that decision, but if i'd been playing like he had been, I too would have gone for it. You have to see your strategy of play until the end. Maybe that's why he wins big tourneys and we don't? We wouldn't go for it, he probably never even though twice about not going for it.

Yes lol, you absolutely can stop. Because a .00001% chance of your layup rolling aay and you going ob or missing your comeback is way better than a ~5% chance you miss and go ob and lose. The difference being like $500 and the title, im not risking any chance of missing out on that to please someone or to appear to be fearless.

A similar scenario happened in 2004 when Timmy Gill won the Memorial. Hole 12 on Vista this year (throwing across the water and above the dam) was Hole 17 then. Timmy had the lead going into this hole but he never wants to know scores, even with two holes to go. All he needs to win is to throw a safe shot and layup for an easy three. He goes for the 2, comes up short OB and ends up with a 5. Barry ends up tying the round and it goes to a playoff, which fortunately for Timmy, he won.

Anyone know the Disc Gopher guys down there? They have a couple of my discs listed on their site in the lost and found list, so I sent them an email asking how I can get them back and they've yet to get back to me. I even tried calling them.

Prodigy might only have 2 discs out so far, and may be throwing mixed bags.. But they're smart enough to arrange for someone to follow around their top players recording their rounds. Who else does this?
