[Latitude] Latitude 64 Stilletto

Testing out some optos after work! They are max weight. I will be using them for massive downhill flex shots as well as thumbers and skip shots.

For reference I can fh a trespass 400 on flat ground and thumber a xXx 340ish.

So, I have a lot of thoughts after testing my opto Stilettos.

I realized the reason why some people are finding the Stiletto to have the same HSS as the xXx is because they aren't throwing it hard/fast/windy/oat-y enough. If you throw them both 300' it will seem like they have the same amount of HSS.

However, I was throwing the Stiletto at 70' anhyzer fh angles and it would fight out of it, I got some of the most beautiful flex shots I have ever seen. I was intentionally throwing this thing with tons of OAT and almost like a FH roller and it was turning it into flex shots. I tried to throw a huge anny fh and it fought out before it even got half way and ended up dumping 75' in the wrong direction.

This thing is stupid overstable, which is what I was hoping for. Also, I was having problems getting it to skip sometimes because it goes too straight down. It would end up vertical and not be able to skip. So when thrown on flat lines I can't imagine what this thing does.

Long story short, I approve. Most OS disc I have thrown to date. Very very useful IMO. I second ZJ's findings, much more HSS than a xXx and more fade. They just aren't even in the same category.

I picked up an option stiletto in 176g and I'm very happy with it, I can drive 475 with my beat nuke and I can't turn this thing over. I can't even get it to turn under stable on a forearm shot. I'm also liking the lack of glide, it never gos high enough to fade out more then I want.

How about the thumber?

I've got a moderately strong tomahawk/thumber arm...so I got one of these to test out...(first run GL 174g)

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for for an overhand shot. When thrown with a pretty good amount of power, the disc will travel 320-340' in the air before rotating to flat. When it lands flat, it will either skip or skid predictably, depending on the terrain. This is a godsend...I was so tired of unpredictable landings when throwing overhand with other discs.

With my 360-380 ft. of RHBH power, I really have trouble getting the big skips out of this disc, most of the time the impact with the ground is just too vertical. It's a bit too much for me. I found I can utilize the astra-x more as a wind bashing, skipping disc. But this thing is a god-tier overhand disc for tight lines and very predictable finishes.

How about the thumber?

Turns much faster than my TP giant. Its so OS I've been having problems judging where to throw it. You pretty much have to thumb it straight left to get it to finish even moderately straight.

I amazed you can even keep your fingers on the rim while throwing overhead shots haha. The Stiletto is so damn wide, thats probably why it gave me fits

Due to extremely slow turn i imagine?

Oh, it definitely doesn't feel nice. But I normally thumb a giant so its not that far off. I hit chains with it on a fh though!

I tried out a GL and an opto and i ended up losing the opto and not caring because its just stupid overstable. i'm getting maybe 320 with it and i can get 400+ with a giant. I never thought i could find anything faster and more overstable than a spirit but lat came up with one.

I still cant see any use for this disc in my bag.. but im pretty much a rhbh player right now

sounds like a great disc. i might have to put one in the bag. i never liked the feel of the nuke OS. but maybe this disc will make the bag on really windy days or for huge long right going thumbers.

I tested a 174 Opto today, and holy S**t this thing is wicked overstable. It would probably take a 50mph+ headwind to flip this thing. I laughed the first time I threw it, no joke.

Played in some gusts like that the other day out by the lake. Just as bad as the final day this year of the GBO if not worse. I was getting some turn and flip from my Giant on that day but so far with the stiletto it never goes beyond straight for me no matter the wind. Got a new gopro mount I hope to catch some crazy shots with the stiletto this summer.

My buddy says his is less overstable than his nukeos, anyone else do a side by side comparison yet?

Ive thrown both and I don't know that I found this to be true. The Nuke OS may be more HSS or LSS but definitely not both. At best they are different.

Well as with any discs especially when comparing 2 manufacturers, there are variances in runs.

The first run Nuke OS was crazy overstable, and newer runs have become a bit less overstable. I can imagine the same is true with the Stiletto, there will be some that are straighter and some that are just pure beef.

The reality these discs are in the same category as 2 of the only pure overstable speed 13's you can buy. The Ape is no where close to these discs

anyone have some videos of themselves throwing this disc?

Well Said.
