[Latitude] Latitude 64 Dagger

I'm pretty sure Ricky has thrown them since his move over to Lat. From what little I have seen Dave can't keep Judges out of his bag.

How deep are these? I remember that being a topic of discussion when they first came out. How do they compare to a fresh KC Aviar in feel and flight?

Isn't everything with a bead kinda like an KC Aviar anyway? Where the Wizard might be a slightly lower KC and the Judge an even lower profile KC, the Dagger goes the opposite direction and is slightly taller with its blunter nose and larger bead similar to a Judge so it fills your hand more than a KC IMO. Its profile looks symmetrical, like a wheel, if you overlook the bottom is a big ass bead of course.

As for flight, the Dagger is a tick or more less LSS while not being that much less HSS so the glide is full point more at a minimum. The Hard Daggers that I've felt up all have a slightly softer grip than some of the brick hard white KCs that some 10x and 11x folks might look for while not being a firm as Gateway's 'Soft'.

Bottom line: 10%+ longer than a KC that in a season will beat into a laser beam a la Ricky's aim at the pole from 80' putt.

Thanks.

I putted Judges for a long time when they first came out. Still have a bunch.

Black KCs are almost my perfect putting putter, esp when they get beat and just want to go straight.

I really like Judges in the circle b/c of the plastic, but am all about KCs for everything else.

Could I go Daggers in the circle and beat straight/ fresh with finish like a KC or would I be better off cycling something like a Shield in hard?

The dagger was an easy switch for me from challengers. Differnent discs with similar flight. I throw a 173g zero hard. Wysocki can drop this thing in from a gazillion feet out. Its my goto putter.

Anyone tried the new moonshine burst zero hard daggers? Ordered three this weekend and would love to hear what to expect.

For throwing or putting? I have never met anyone who threw Daggers (although have met a handful who putt with them).

Just speculation, but I imagine they will putt virtually identical to regular Hard Daggers. I would suspect the only difference may be in feel. Please don't feel like I am dismissing your question, I just don't think you will get much of a response. They do look awesome and I have always found new putters make me excited to putt again. Hopefully they will do the same for you.

I picked up a zero hard burst dagger last year and it has never crossed my mind to attempt to throw it. Thing is just too deep for my hands to throw.

Putting with it is another story. I prefer wardens or really flat judges but the Dagger stays in my practice basket and gets its fair share of tosses. Feels big and you know its fading so I seem more prone to forcing it flat which results in a put on line. Just something about it keeps it around for me. Hasn't made my bag yet though.

I have thrown Daggers before on short drives and upshots. They go pretty straight as you might expect. They are pretty deep and thus not my favorite driving putter, but they're also super flat without a lot of shoulder. I honestly have a harder time throwing something like an Aviar PandA or a Nova than I do a Dagger. If I were putting together a super minimal bag, a fresh Hard Dagger could easily do double duty as putter and upshot disc.

I remember watching a tournament video (from either this year or last year, I believe) where Nikko Locastro threw an orange Dagger.

Sure it wasn't a Wizard? I am pretty sure he throws and putts with them. And I am sure I have seen him use it this year.

I began putting with the dagger around the beginning of this winter. Practiced with them all winter and now they're feeling great in my hand. Hands down the most comfortable putter I've ever felt. I considered many good putters and this one won me over above the rest. The Judge, Wizard, Voodoo, Magic, Challenger, Marshal. The Dagger flies dead straight on any putt. Love it!!

I switched from Rekos / aviars / judges to Dagger and can't see myself changing; my only issue is that Kansas has 10-23mph winds on the average day and daggers can just float away.

I noticed that Wysocki has recently switched to Retroburst Hard Daggers. I bought a black retro to see what its all about and my putting has gotten worst the past two weeks (its probably all mental). The Retros are definitely grippier than Feldberg and older Wysocki runs.

6 months ago I bought a blue Retroburst and it was slick and a lot different than this chalky/grippy black one. Is there a lot of inconsistency in the retro runs between colors?

True. Nikko has special stamp Wizards that we can purchase from Infinite Discs. If the disc he's using has that stamp, it's a Wizard. I saw him using that special stamp Wizard in one of the tournaments earlier this year.

Yes. The disc came to rest at the cameraman's feet on a throw. The cameraman focused on the disc. It clearly had the Dagger stamp on it.

Did not realize he started throwing them. Wonder what he likes about it that the Wizard does not offer.

Not real sure, I have only used the Ricky 2x stamped zero hard daggers (black or white) I noticed that when. Ricky switched to the burst putters recently his putting also has suffered, not saying that's the cause but who knows. Hope to see him switch back to the whites and get back to putting that dagger in the center the wind is offering me some challenges as well, we don't deal with it the way you do I'm sure in Ohio the wind is much calmer that Kansas. But still it's hard to read how to throw it in some winds
