[Innova] What molds do u like in Gstar?

I like the G* Leopard a lot. I use it for most overhand up-and-down get out of jail throws. Great disc. It's one that I would consider for a one-disc round. That or the G* Teebird.

G* Star Teebirds are amazing. They fly like a DX bird that has just enough throws on it that it has added glide and a penetrating fade. I've been throwing mine for a year (maybe longer?) and it is still straight with some fade.

Personally not a fan, but they are selling extremely well and enough people like them that I encourage more production. Unfortunately, Star, then Champion, are lagging behind in production of newer discs.

There seem to be sparkled blends and swirly blends. The sparkled felt better and was more durable.

They are just too floppy for me, not a consistent release. But my B-Cup Destoyer, Blue Sparkle 168g, flies forever.

Just don't smash a tree, the plastic doesn't revert to original shape as well as star or champion.

I agree that the sparkly ones feel a tad bit firmer and also seem to fly closer to the intended numbers.

Forgot about the Leopard, it was pretty nice too. If I were to go back to the Leo that's where I'd go.

I have a 168 G*Boss. I get great distance backhand yet a champion Boss is too much disc for me to back hand.

I also like G* Destroyer. I have a 168 that will turn over for me thrown flat. If also flips up from a hyzer if there is no wind and will sail straight past 400'.

I'm wondering how these discs will hold up once the full heat of summer hits us. They might just melt into a puddle. If that's the case, I might swap out my G* discs for JL, Champ, or Star plastic.

There's a video of dave dunipace talking about gstar on (I think) spinTV, and he talks about that. Basically, they wont. He puts up a graph of stiffness vs. Temperature and gstar has a much flatter curve than any other plastic. There's actually a point around 105 degrees where they cross over and champion is even more flexible.
Not that I intend to test that, I'm a walking OB swamp by like 95-100.

I've thrown a GStar Beast and Destroyer. The destroyer flies a tad more OS than my beat Star, while the beast is much more US than my champ counterpart. I have an Orc coming in here shortly, wonder how it will fare against my perfectly beat star Orc.

Also am wondering how floppy these things will get in the middle of the Texas Summer. My blowfly might become even more floppy....

They're fine in the summer heat. They get a little more flexy, but nothing crazy.

G-PD is the only one I throw.
I liked the few tosses I have on a G* Roc3 but would prefer fresh McPros if I were throwing them.
I tossed a 169 G*Katana the other day and was surprised by it. I have thrown very little katana but it just about had what I remember the Protana having. I threw it side by side with a similar weight TP king (both other players discs) and the katana had a more predictable fade and more glide. Neither made me want one since my VIP kings are predictable and glide enough (and roll better than anything I have owned!)

Did not like the G* Gator someone let me toss. Too flexy for a disc I would want to act super predictable. It didn't sit and stick as well as I would have liked either.

Totally just bought a G* Leopard. If it knocks out my XL I will have five G* discs in a 15 disc bag....

I only have the TeeBird3 and Wraith in G-Star plastic and I just like the feel of the plastic. It also seems easier to throw them Champion or even Star plastic. I don't know why, but that G-Star Wraith is easier to throw than the Star Wraiths that I have thrown in past.

I wanted to like G*, but it's just too flexy and slick, and doesn't release like I'd want it to. I'll stick with flexy putters and old Star drivers.

I really liked my g* boss and loved my g* aviar p&a. Roc3 and Leopard were good too.

Ftr, I would say all four of those g* blends feel slightly different. Boss is very soft and has a nice feel. Aviar and leopard are a little stiffer and have nice grip. The roc3 is hard, shiny, and slippery.

The only ones I use are the G-Star Teebird and the G-PD. G-Star Teebs are for winter but I really, really like the flight of the G-PD so it stays in the bag year-round....until I beat in another P-PD that is!
