Paul McBeth #27523

The Paulitician.

Paul's response is exactly why I quit volunteering in disc golf. I'm not wasting time with these entitled pricks. I suggest everyone do the same and make the pros and TD's pay you for your course work, tournament volunteer activities, and time away from throwing frisbees.

I will never quit volunteering my time to my local disc golf community.

It isn't surprising you'd be the type to advocate for chopping off your nose to spite your face, though. There are a million ways to volunteer for your community and not have anything to do with anything related to Paul McBeth and the Pro Tour, even if your community is a DGPT stop. **** right off kthx.

Local, community and 99.9% of disc golf will remain volunteer driven. I agree and would never stop putting my efforts toward REAL growth. The growth that brings new AM, families and golfers into the game. Putting in a variety of courses that cater to these factions. Upkeep and fundraising to maintain and improve the infrastructure of my disc golf community. This is the foundation the game is built on and there is NO pragmatic change on the horizon, despite the squawk of the entitled.

Have fun working for Heinold and the DGPT.

I will enjoy the fruits of my own labor. In terms of my local competition, in terms of the quality of my home course, and in terms of the number of fresh faces I see on my local courses. You know who is going to get paid to contribute to any of those things on a local level? Absolutely no one.

But that said. . would i work that much for free to have Millionaires play. and on top of that have to try and raise the +$100000 in payout. .no thanks

Yeah, but that isn't the conversation we're having. The conversation we're having is GMcAtee claiming he quit volunteering in disc golf wholesale because there are people he considers entitled pricks on the pro tour, and he suggested everyone else do the same. And he made it clear when I responded to him that this includes work done in communities that do not have DGPT (or equivalent) stops.

I donate a bunch of time in my local community, but am looking to reduce that significantly, due to the PDGA's actions in this case. Players are owed a bunch of respect, much more respect than Nikko received in this occasion. Official was clear across the damn fairway. he approached Nikko like he couldn't wait to slap him with the penalty. i will repeat that the PDGA needs to improve their rules so players cannot be targeted like this.

Yes, I would completely expect you to cut off your own nose to spite your face as well. None of what you or GMcAtee has said is in any way shocking news to anybody, with regard to how the two of you go about your business. Most of us wouldn't think for a moment about how you go about your business, but once you put it out there - yep, makes total sense.

Can't imagine GMac's local dg scene misses him much. I wish he'd quit volunteering his time on DGCR.

Local dude dyes discs and notorious Brodie troller. Also sponsors Kat Mertsch. He posts today on FB that he woulda done same as Nikko and the official was in wrong blah blah blah.

So I responded that I'd like to see rules consistently enforced. And last tourney was painful to watch. And Nikko is a punk for doing what he did.

Dude immediate unfriended me on FB. Lol. I don't buy dyed discs anyway, practically they are difficult to find on grass for me. Shrug.

In a way yes. . . the Michael Schumachers, John Mcenroes in sports made that sport HUGE. . .for some reason people love to see people that hate each other meet in sports

And make's the Federer's shine in contrast too. It's all good.

Regardless of your personal reaction to what Paul said about Nikko's suspension, no one should be putting any stock in what Brodie has to say on the matter. Dude burns bridges like a Roman column on a military campaign, to mix some metaphors.

Can't always throw out the baby with the bath water. Sometimes even Brody is right. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, to add another bad metaphor.

I don't care about him and Paul, that's all background noise.

Not just the pro tour. Entitled pricks seem to be more prevalent in dg than most other things I'm into.
