I want to try a Destroyer, what's the least stable plastic besides DX?

Pro probably. At least that seems to be the one consistant thing about Innova plastic is that the pro line is less overstable then the star/champion one

That would make sense. Probably then Champion and then Star?

Here is the run down.
DX starts the most overstable but beats to understable the quickest.
Pro is the most understable off the shelf, numbers are actually what Innova shows with a hair more glide.
Champ starts overstable and will beat in to the numbers perfectly.
Star starts overstable and will beat to a hair more understable than champ and is actually slower than all the other plastics.

^right in general but wrong on the destroyer. my pro destroyers (from first run of them) are way more overstable than the star or the champion that i have thrown- i'd say the star is the least o/s of the 3.

The Pro Destroyers I have are actually more overstable then my stars. I would suggest just getting a DX or a 169ish flat dome star.

My primary big drivers are Destroyers. I have a 169 Pro and a 169 Star and I would have to disagree with you. Maybe it is just me but my pro will fly like a Wraith and my Star will fly a Destroyer should, nice and stable. This in just in my experience and why would it be different just for this disc not not others? Maybe it was a run of them in Pro that were really stable?

Pro definitely, they are typically have a higher dome and I have been told that the plastic is less dense so it glides further. That I am not sure is true. But all of my 12+ speed drivers that I throw for straight drives are Pro plastic.

must be just the first runs- i haven't bothered with any runs after that. i wish i had a new destroyer with wraith-like flight pattern, oh wait, i have a pro boss with a wraith-like flight pattern- i don't need a destroyer anymore.;)

Superium are they the same weight?

Yep, 175s. I have quite a few stars that are fairly flippy and a couple that will hold a turn throughout its flight but they are all beaten in differently where all my pro's are fairly new and domey to hell.
EchoStar Destroyers are the biggest meathooks Ive ever thrown.

Thanks for the response!

This is probably best suited for another thread but it's mine and I'll drift if I want to...

I'm a Discraft only thrower as of right now because it's what I am used to and know, not because of some anti Innova thing, but I'm starting to look at the Innova Drivers (I don't think anything is going to take me off of my Discraft Mids and Putters) and some advice of what I should throw would be helpful and FYI I don't like the speed 13 discs, I've tried them all now and hate them all.

if you go pro. get you a flat one. those are less stable than the super domey pro destroyers.
flat stars can be pretty stable as well. champs are decently stable as long as theyre flat. basically if you want a destroyer thats not too crazy overstable then look for a flat pro or champ. all the domey ones will be overstable. cfr glow destroyers are damn meathooks compared to the other plastics.

standard response, what discs do you throw now, FH or BH and how far?

I throw backhand, I get my Force(169 and beat), Avenger SS(174, fairly new) and my Surge SS(167, fairly new) out to around 350 feet max, probably average distance would be 325 or so(real distance, I've measured)

I also throw a Predator, XL, Tracker and Slipstream GT

you might like the Beast in Champ or Star Plastic but I really wouldn't suggest much else, for the distance you throw, that is the most I would go with.

Avery Jenkins recons that the pros are the best destroyers, because they are domy and overstable, so i have heard

I would go with star though, will last and beat in nicely, but honestly if you are throwing 330-350 with a destroyer you could probably throw the same with a teebird or wraith.

I have a early pro destroyer that is seems overstable, i can get it out to 380, but thats a biiig annie line, I find that this shot is very reliable, but you need alot of air.
