Throw/Form on Innova Calender... April, 2011

I've played at Wahalla a couple of times when I have been on vaction. Fun course I must say although I would not want to retrieve a disc from the creek there. A bit polluted.

    hey

hello everyone! Hope you all have a great 2011! I have not hit the disc golf course in about two months. Frustration with distance and playing by myself a lot made me kind of cash it in. So.........for those of you who have been in that boat, what was your motivation to...

    forget the drive- Putt!

what has been wrong is "wrong muscle memory". The muscle memory I got myself into for drives is obviously wrong,so I am having to unlearn that way and go more towards the Dan Beato way. Unlearning has been hard to do..body stills wants to throw the wrong way which is what is causing such short...

    forget the drive- Putt!

Well I was thinking of how I did the putt without actually doing it there in front of me.....yeah,thumb under would be rough:gross:...so everyone calm down!:D When I putt the index finger is on the rim of the disc facing towards the basket, the THUMB is on top of the disc and my three other...

    forget the drive- Putt!

After three years of trying to learn the backhand I have come to the realization that I will probably never be able to get my disc more than 200 ft or so at the most. Just can not figure out how to make it work! So my next plan is to work on long putt shots. My question is what is the best way...

What's your personal best distance (Field or Course)?

Don't mean to brag but I've thrown a 160g T-bird almost 210ft and I've only been playing for three years!

    where will disc golf go?

Yes,but lets face it, One of the many appealing things about disc golf is the disc are usually cheap to buy and the courses are usually free. Ya could loose a lot of the "average Joe" players if it got to the point where you had to make "tee times" and charged for all the courses. Probably will...

    Sick New YouTube Video

absolutely best tracking of a disc on film that I have ever seen. I could only dream of throwing that good!

New Drive Technique..less effort more distance!

Still believe that your form or throwing technique means nothing if you don't have real strong arm strength. Most of the people I see who can haul ass with the disc look to have very strong arms .

    First solo round

I usually play disc solo. 99.9% of the time I am by myself. If no one is waiting behind me then I will usually take more than one drive or practice a few putts at each hole.

    Friendly Locals Are Unbeatable

I always have fun down at "the Sinks". Lots of friendly people seem to play down there.

Please help Columbia, MO disc golfers

I have to agree with Jamela1989. I have also been looking to see if there is anywhere in this area for someone to help fellow disc golfers with their game. I am addicted to the game despite the fact that my drives both forehand and backhand suck! Yes,I do go out and practice throwing in a field...

How much disc golf do you play//prevent injury?

I try to play as often as possible but lately life has gotten in the way plus since my backhand never goes more than a couple of hundred feet its pretty discouraging to expect a whole lot of great scores! Pretty much resigned to the fact that I will never figure out that throw. Usually my right...

    When a noob won't listen....

Unless they ask, don't give advice. If their really interested in the game they will either ask you or someone else who plays or maybe come to this forum. I think I would be pissed if someone started giving me advice when I didn't ask for it,although that would be rare cause I'm always ready for...

Ideas to get Disc out of a 4 foot lake....

When I drive or throw over water I use a Innova "Hydra". Is it a great disc? No but it floats.I can get a pretty good amount of distance with it and if it hits the water its pretty easy to retrieve since its just sitting there on top of the water. Maybe people think its such a sorry disc that...

    The Hit!

This has been a great thread for me. It has explained a lot about where I have been screwing up on my backhand drives. I have been trying to get this drive down for three years and still have not found "it" what ever "it" is. My backhands might average 200ft on a good day but most of the time I...
