2012 Goals

continue to help in the growth of Disc Golf in our area and beyond--------------- - +

continue to pitch in and help the development of current area DGC.

loose some weight.

Eat better/ get in better physical condition.

play my 1000th DGC

design some more DGC.

continue to grow my beard.

Improve putting confidence dramatically.

Improve driving consistency, and after that, distance to around 450'.

Play in at least 2 tournaments.

Solidify my bag a little ( I have two of the molds set!).

Get my maximum distance over the 300ft mark. Play some casual rounds and maybe try to do something that could be called practice. Only playing tournament rounds all year didn't do anything but cause my player rating to move around the mid 970s. I imagine if I actually tried I could show some improvement.

- Cash in an AM2 MPT event
- Play BDF, Akers, and Enman Field
- Play more practice rounds
- Play new courses in at least two new states

My #1 goal in my first full year of tags play at Sedgley Woods is to break the top 25 at the end of 2012. I think I'm going to end at 49 or 50 this year and I only won like three goal tags the whole year. It should be attainable if I continue to improve my game!

1) Consistently drive over 350'
2) Post an under par in a tourney.
3) Win an Intermediate Division. (a couple of Rec wins and then some frustrating 3rd place INT finishes in 2011)
4) Play more casual rounds with my wife and friends.
5) Travel more to see new courses.

- I'm still trying to play that first bogey free round.
- Finish in the money in the Wednesday night league
- Play at least 6 new courses.
- Play more sanctioned events and increase my rating.

I've decided to add a couple more.

- Practice, practice, practice my putting. I've had a practice basket getting rusty in my yard for 3 years now. I have no excuses for being the worst putter on the planet.

- And reclaim the Gold at the 2012 Empire State Senior Games.

1. start doing field practice again and get my backhand distance drives to 425/450'
2. fully regain confidence in my forehand (halfway there now)
3. better control on putts 40'+
4. figure out how to aim my backhand roller
5. up rating to 960
6. keep reading 'golf is not a game of perfect' - it's helped my game more than anything else

1. Play in 3 more states
2. Play and review 10 more courses
3. Shoot under par at a course I play the first time

3. Be 935 by years end
4. Win a tournament
5. Qualify for Am Nats again

Those are in order of importance to me

1. Improve my putting confidence inside the circle, and my "gimmie" range to 15'.
2. Play in one new state (probably will be Tennessee), and play 5 new courses.
3. Score better than someone else in a tournament.
4. Play enough sanctioned events that it will be worth it for me to join the PDGA.
5. Hit my first ace.
6. Improve my accurate distance to 300'.
7. Improve my forehand.
