Big Sidearm Training

I can throw 550' forehand shots, but my biggest problem is my manhood dragging on the ground when I wear shorts. My friends call me Kung Fu Elephant Trunk.

There are degrees. I don't go through life assuming everyone is lying unless they prove it. If the OP said he was throwing 375 forehand and wanted more distance, that is perfectly believable. Instead, he stated that he was an "insatiable up n coming discer" throwing in the 99th percentile and wanted more distance.

Agreed. I guess I'm just more sensitive to it, as I was met with similar attitudes when I joined the forum. It's not a very warm reception, when strangers are so quick to cast doubt. Carry on.....

Im currently throwing in the 770ft range but my game has been off. I suggest getting a 2kg discus and tossing it around the yard. Once you get that up to around 400' try a sewer cover, they are more stable but break in nice.

;)

I overhand sewer covers around 450. No big deal

There are a couple guys at my local course who can air out 450' or so FH bombs with a fair amount of control. That is the max I've ever witnessed with a FH. Any further than that is BH.

The onus of proving a fantastic claim is on the one making it. Something ridiculous is not automatically to be assumed true just because others cannot prove it isn't. Post a video with your ridiculous distance or be labeled a braggart or troll. Just common sense.

Word to this. Also, if anyone's feelings are hurt over the completely light ribbing that was unleashed in this thread, the internet may not be for you.

Yes, lets scare off all the 500'+ throwers because "the internet may not be the place" for them.

Well it's been 3 days and no further posts for the OP on this thread or any others. We'll see if anything comes of it. I'm working on my FH form (well ok, my BH form too, but still) so I would love to see WTF this guy is doing if he can actually push a disc that far.

surprised it hasn't been landfilled

His name is CRADICAL on here, at least that is who I am assuming who your talking about. Crazy good, crazy accurate.

I've seen a FH crush almost 600' on flat ground, but that was with a big tailwind, so the op may not be full of it. FH training is similar to backhand. Start slow and move up. Concentrate on clean release, and let the distance work itself out.

Would love to see vids of this!! When I get one to 375-400 I feel like I'm crushing it. Not doubting the op but other than a few pros ie big jerm Winthrop I've never personally seen sidearm d like that.

I am looking for huge snap with the FH both mega anhyzer and straight n low shots on small tee pads... I am NOT a super tall guy... 5'10" but longarms I suppose are part of my gig... I can rip em over 550 with the blizz boss when I nail it, 475 with heavy force's and getting more D every week...

We are speaking in feet here, right?

Once, I threw a forehand about 290'. It was awesome. Needless to say, we need some video evidence to back up these fanciful claims of 550' forehands. I'm also a little curious as to why Mr. Lovehammer hasn't posted on his thread in almost 2 weeks. I hope our requests for proof haven't frightened him.

LOL wow dealin mostly with real people in person I forget the shallow tendencies of the human race once it sits on a computer...

just reading through the first couple pages of posts I saw ZERO helpful tips on pros that throw big sidearm D, and 100% sass except one guy who was calling out his fellow forum members for being sarcastic dickwads...

come and play with me anytime in NoCO n I'll show you my sidearm and how to play with class and pizazz

til then i'll just sign out cause this experience insulted my sense of respect for the DG community...

PS I DID like the sewer lid joke that would be funny.... but seriously the lack of awareness about sidearms amongst y'all reminds me of just how limited much of the scene still is in its perspective... maybe I should try and make a video and teach you fools

Heya thcdisc you must know Edora well, I play with former pro Eric there a lot (the D specialist) me being the goof with a trim beard n pony-tail, when he hits it just right he can throw it to (and I expect to see past again soon) the sidewalk on 17 and I can get it to the pin once in a blue moon... him being a classically smoothe spinning BHer and me being a get loose on tequila and rail it SAer

and yes as I said my best D was a day I was experimenting with the huuuge ANhy and a blizzard boss

Ignore the remarks. If you are truly capable of that kind of D, im not sure anyone here can help you get much more. The only thing i can think of is, posting a video of a few throws and a couple angles, and maybe there would be a footwork or form issue to clean up, and that might help. Otherwise, there may be no help for you here. But we might be able to learn from you...
