Is there ANY Metroplex course that isn't mud soup after a rain? I'm going anyway, just bringing a change of clothes cuz I need to get out and fling plastic real hard.
So I've been playing 5+ years now. 2014 was my first year of dfw minis and I had a blast. I played in about 20 minis last year. 2015 I'm taking the plunge into the texas tournament scene. I am 41 and will be playing intermediate or equivilant masters depending on the tournament.
I downloaded an ap that shows all the tournaments every month. I plan on trying to play at least one tournament a month starting this month. Could some of you dfw tournament vets recommend the best amateur tournament within a 2-3 hour drive of Dallas. Are A tiers way better then B and C? Just looking for localish stuff this year. I plan on expanding to a few national events in 2016 once I get used to tournaments.

The MDGA runs the Alex Clark Memorial.
Is that a request to start on hole 14 Sunday?
North Lake Park, it is an okay course, I play everything out there as a 3, even from the longs. It does have some kickass holes (7-9) and once it becomes more wooded (12-18) its really fun. Lake Lewisville Park is a much better course, and when I lived in Denton, it was about the same drive so it made more sense for me to go to Lewisville. have fun and happy throwing.
It's a little drive from Dallas but Z-Boaz is one of the best that the west side of the metroplex has to offer IMO. It's very easy to get to though, right off the highway. I would get there EARLY though, especially with the great weather in store this weekend!
I second this. If I'm playing z-boaz I usually play saddle hills for a nice second round.
I need to get back out to some north dallas courses. Most of the big names are gonna be crowded this weekend though.
