I have one...it never occurred to me to try it on grass or mud. It works because it sticks to the teepad and to your shoe...it still needs something solid underneath it to stick to. Nicest part for me was using it when teepads were "clear" of snow, but maybe just a bit slick/icy. I might take it to a few courses I know that have HORRIBLE teepads...concrete that was poured smooth, then painted...they're a nightmare. Even in that case I'm not sure I'd feel COMFORTABLE just throwing a full shot...but I can fall on those tees even taking a step. It might help me at least take one step and plant on those monstrosities.
