The Daily Featured Course

I got the Competition bag over the winter... I'm digging it so far, but I can tell I'm going to need some quad straps to go with it even though I've only got about 10 discs. It's a lot bigger/heavier than I'm used to.
Hmmm... you'd never survive with my bag. The Discarrier, with its typical complement of 23 discs, weighs in at 15.5 lbs. If its got two full 24oz Polar bottles that adds another 3.5 lbs bringing the toting total to 19 lbs. I guess all those years as a paperboy prepared me well. :)

i love watching people carry their "luggage" around...i carry maybe 7 discs and the accessories for a total of 6 pounds or so...comes down to knowing what you throw well..

I just changed it :) It was a cool shot but it was the size of a postage stamp.

Farmington Park

Just the other day, Farmington Park in Rocky Mount, NC was the featured hole of the day. I have played it many a time and would recomend any of the four courses in that town.

I was never a boy scout... but I probably should have been. I could probably survive a week in the wilderness with my DG bag. ;)

It's also a major function of where you play. Trying showing up at The LINKS on a windy day with seven discs and see if you make it through the round with anything left in your bag. Or at least see what happens to your score after you lose your three primary drivers on the first three or four holes.

Seth Burton in Fairmont, WV

Today's course photo is Seth Burton in Fairmont, WV. I've played it a couple times. It's a fun 18 to play. The hole that's pictured, #13, does a good job of representing the course. A majority of the holes play through large trees like this hole, but you're not deep in the woods or anything.

Seth Burton is also in the same park as Orange Crush, a much more heavily wooded and technical course. If you're ever traveling I79 South of Pittsburgh, PA I'd definitely check it out.

Check out the links.

sorry eric i was gonna say it matters WHERE you play..i might add a few to the bag at an unfamiliar course but i dont lose many discs...you kinda learn to be a lil cautious after losing them for the last 15 years

Very nice courses!! The fun factor at this park is high!

The Orange Crush course is amazing (now that its properly groomed). Anyone in the area needs to play here!!

Today's featured course photo is incredible, could only be better if the basket is above the waterfall.

Gah! Sorry, I changed it. I didn't see the basket!

Those are my pics, thanks. Zepher Cove is one of my favorite courses, if you ever get the chance to play it, make sure to. This is the first time that I've seen one of my pics on the front page.

Zephyr Cove! I play there all the time. Insane views of Tahoe and never ever more than 1 other group there. In my top 5. I did watch my friend ace hole 15. 420ft downhill with a Wasp, sweetest ace I've witnessed. Anyone ever making to Tahoe hit me up I'll show you around. If you are lucky enough to play this course, drive 45 mins to the other side of the lake and play Tahoe Vista.

so far, i've had two featured courses pop up that i have played. panther creek in owensboro, ky. and funfarm in lanesville, in. i've only played 20 courses, so i'm surprised that i have seen 2 no longer than i have been on here. i'm guessing it is a random pick?...anyone know?

make it 3 featured courses for me. i've played the one posted today. that is the 16th teepad at chalybeate. fun little course with some interesting shots and a bluff that comes into play on several of the holes.
