Has potential if it was maintained 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 3, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

A good variety of holes. There are wide open holes that play along or across the field, and there are others that have tight fairways and tunnels that lead to the basket.
It's a good practice course if you want to try out your drivers. At least 3 holes are over 450' long, and #10 requires multiple 350'+ shots to get to the basket.

Cons:

The maintenance is non-existent.
Almost all the concrete tees are covered with heavy debris and the synthetic turf ones are overgrown.
Holes 1 & 2 have what could be beautiful bamboo tunnels to throw your drive through, however, since there hasn't been any recent maintenance, they are overgrown and nearly impassable.
Holes 3 & 8 are in a low lying area and are unplayable if there has been rain in the past 3-4 days. The fairways become swamps and it's best to skip these holes, if not completely dry.

Other Thoughts:

Parking is sort of a conundrum. All the write-ups say to park across the street at the tennis courts, but that leaves you with a 150 yard walk to get to the first tee...and then again after you finish. There are 'private property' signs to discourage you from parking in the field near the course kiosk. There does seem to be a newer parking area beside #1 and the kiosk, but getting to it requires you to take some backroads and drive through an apartment complex.

Not Great But Has Potential 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 26, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

One set of concrete tees. Nice tee signs. It's being set up for multiple tees. Fairways were mowed. Pretty easy to navigate.

Cons:

Easy to lose your disc on virtually every hole. Fairways were mowed for the most part (hole 3 not playable, barely walkable) but off the fairway and you'd be searching for several minutes sometimes, or longer and possibly not even find it. We fortunately didn't lose any discs, but found several lol, so it's possible obviously.

The first hole plays along the edge of thick river cane with the basket placed right up against it. Not ideal to me, takes the fun out of it completely unless you brought a spare throw away disc.

No holes stand out in my mind, I'm having trouble with the review and I just played the course.

Other Thoughts:

Overall it has some potential to be a 3 to 3.5 star course with some changes to design and with much better upkeep. We won't be back until some serious work has been done.
