Pros:
great layout and design flows really well hole to hole
short enough for beginners but still technical enough to challenge more advanced players
really creative, unusual shot lines
phenomenal use of available land/space
great elevation changes
most holes open to any drive style, theres a line if you can hit it
we actually got to meet Mr. Deavers(course designer), only spoke to him for 5 mins or so but you can just feel his passion for the game, and that's never a con to me.
2 restrooms easily accessible from the course, on the way but not in the way.
Cons:
only 3 really
1.busy park, by busy I mean lots of other activities already in the park(playgrounds, parking areas, and a volleyball court to be specific) but only on hole 17 did it impact our group today but on a crowded day at the park could be some issues
2.no benches anywhere on the course, there were occasional tables here or there but none on the course itself.
3.the tee pads, they are made out of a nice rubber material but way too small and one of them is really uneven, slightly dangerous, plus I doubt theyd play well when wet.
Other Thoughts:
Having said all that, this is a really nice course in a really nice park its kind of small but I don't hold that against a course in rating if its well done.the addition of full size concrete tees and a couple of benches easily would make this course a 3.5. If your less than an hour away you should check this one out, it was a fun play.
