It can be what you make of it 2+ years drive by

Pros:

The course consists of 6 baskets that wind around the track/football field. While there are no tee pads you do have the ability to create your own distances and throws on most of the holes.

- The baskets themselves are in good shape and the chains are kind.
- The grounds are kept in relatively good condition and mowed.
- Very easy to find with plenty of parking.
- Simple flow

Cons:

I guess it all depends on what you expect from it. Realistically it's nothing more than a pitch and putt.

- There are no tee pads or obvious locations to start each hole.
- There also are not any technical throws.
- Every throw is a RHBH hyzer line no matter where you tee from typically

Other Thoughts:

As the title says, you shouldn't expect a gem. However it's a fun course to go out with friends or family who you're likely up at the cabin with. The baskets are nice, the grounds are clean and you can play 6 holes in about 15-20 minutes which is nice. Also, this is at the school so tobacco and drinks are off limits although I've never seen a cop patrol it.

I'd recommend to add some rules like the track being out of bounds on 1, 5 & 6. Also, don't go right of the tree line on #3 or you are in for some rough disc hunting with the chance of poison ivy and thorns.

Battle Lake Rec. Park Review 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 11, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Easy Parking. Easy to find. Layout gave different shot options. Baskets in good condition. No obsticles in putting range of baskets. Could take a group and play at your own pace.

Cons:

Only six holes. No tee pads or markers. Your on your own on where to start on each hole.

Other Thoughts:

When in the Battle Lake area it's a good spot to shoot some holes even when your busy with all the area lakes activities, because its close to the main businesses of town. So when you run for errands in town you can throw a few holes.

not crowded at all so we could set our own pace, it had holes that were challenging but not so challenging hat you would lose your disc or finish 50 above par

Cons:

hole #3 has some high grass, but not an unreasonable amount

Other Thoughts:

great course for a game with your friends or family
