Pros:
Beautiful park which lends itself to a great dg setting. Nice view of the Mississippi from hole 1. Holes 1 - 2 and 11 - 12 are in the field. The rest are shaping lines in the woods which is my favorite kind of golf. Good distance variety, I recall throwing putter, fairway and distance drivers. Also straight, hyzer and anhyzer shots required (unless you have a serviceable distance forehand (which somehow I have lost as I've aged). Navigation was super easy. Rough was managable.
Cons:
Completely flat elevation wise. Not an issue for me but some might care about lack of benches and trash cans (didn't remember any but also not looking out). IMO pack it in pack it out. And if you need to sit bring a stool.
Other Thoughts:
Belle Prairie Park is a gem of a park just off the 371 highway going north to the Brainerd Lakes area. The drive from the highway through the park to the course starting area is pretty special. Single lane, curving through the pines with hiking trails seemingly splitting off everywhere... I would play again, especially if travelling with someone who hasn't been there.

Pros:
Moderate challenge, excellent variety of holes, and right in a nice county park. I like the challenge here, a lot of baskets are well placed that make hole-in-ones pretty difficult. That's not to say this course is really hard, it's pretty approachable.
Cons:
A couple of holes are hard to locate, and it can be quite confusing.
Other Thoughts:
This is in a beautiful setting, come here and make a day of it.

Pros:
The redesigned layout offers a nice variety of shots for any type of player. Some tight shots to protected baskets and some where you can open up and throw. Holes 8 and 9 are two very unique holes which offer risk/reward opportunities. Basket location on 8 is a very cool raised basket. 12 will be a challenge when finished as a slightly raised location. All tees are concrete now and the baskets are the new DD Veterans, so that is a significant upgrade.
Cons:
Still wish there could be expansion as it appears that there is room to do so.
Other Thoughts:
Definitely worth your time to play. Love the variety of shots. The redesign as well as the park setting along the Mississippi, makes this a great course to spend a day - with the hiking trails, the course, the park....etc.

Pros:
Excellent facilities
Signs were simple
Could see most pins from T
Great area.
Cons:
Hole 8 and 9 are directly along side each other.
Long walk from 9 to car. The layout could have been done a little better. There is room for a awesome 18.
Other Thoughts:
This course was a little bit of a surprise, the fairways were well groomed and there was no garbage anywhere. along the Mississippi. Mainly old growth trees and not a lot of small things in the way. No the most technical but a lot of fun.
2.5 overall.. ill stop by on my way up north but wont drive out of my way up to go again.
