Pros:
+9 baskets that caught better than they should have.
+9 signs that were adequate enough for this course.
+Nice overall park that is the pride of Bruce, population 224.
Cons:
-Most holes were too close to other park activities. 1 and 2 basically play over/through the cool, wood playground. 3 and 4 were ok but caution needed if the ballfield is being used. 5 had awkward lines that will make many players throw over the outfield. 6 and 7 are ok. 8's basket is too close to the horseshoes, mini playground/cage thing, and dugout. 9's basket is right by a building. Just dangerous.
-Baskets are homemade or super cheap and single chained. Not sure how they were installed but they are all leaning.
-No elevation on this course.
-Overall, pretty short distance. Only 8 seemed to be long at all.
-Natural tees
Other Thoughts:
+In all reality, there's not room for a DGC at this park or anywhere else in Bruce. That's ok. Better to not have a course than to have one that is dangerous.
+Pretty low fun factor for me. Awkward, forced lines or just open and easy. Man made obstacles.
+Don't come here unless you are a course bagger. Play Larson park in Brookings, it's fun.
+It's not too hard to figure out but the course plays on two adjacent parcels of land. 1-2 are on one part and then 3-9 are by the ballfield.
