Pros:

Buffalo City DGC is a short pitch and putt style course located on the westernmost side of WI. Not really near much else for disc golf within 30 minutes minimum. The course is a fun little spot to runs some aces for more experienced players and a great course for kids, families or newer players.

The baskets here are brand new New Mach II's. These are pretty nice. Perfectly functional for a course of this length. They catch nicely for most putts that aren't laser beamed into the chains. There's little metal number plates affixed to the top center of each too, which is helpful due to the cramped nature of the course. Makes navigation a little easier to decipher without a map. One pin and placement per hole. No complaints with these whatsoever.

Speaking of navigation, the flow here is pretty straightforward. It's a tiny park so not a big deal, but the flow is logical. As mentioned above, the little metal numbers really help out with this.

The tee signs are pretty basic. Small sign with just the hole #, par and distance. There's a QR code on each too which brings up a course map I guess. I didn't bother checking it out since I didn't have any navigation issues. But a nice touch nonetheless. These are mounted on nice and tall 4"x4"s which really aids in locating the tee areas. Again, well done.

The course is park style. There's a few trees in play on every hole though. Hole 1 plays next to an old bell tower that was used for, I don't know, ringing a bell I guess. Cool looking hole aesthetic though.

Park was very nice. Well maintained and free to play. Permanent apparently and there's restrooms, a tennis court and a playground there as well.

Cons:

If you're not a player who's navigated a number of courses, the layout may be a bit confusing with the constricted layout. Also assuming you don't download the map. Numerous baskets in sight from the tee on quite a few holes. The number plates are too small to see at that distance. Nitpicky for sure, but it's a con.

This section of the state tends to retain water longer than most others being so close to the Mississippi. It wasn't too terrible today but there were definitely numerous wet spots throughout.

Not near any other courses. Extremely out of the way unless you happen to be in the area.

Other Thoughts:

Not a destination course, but a destination area for numerous other activities and just sight seeing. This course can be played in 20 minutes by most reading this review and is actually a fun one. I debated playing it twice just to run 9 more aces after having drove an hour from La Crosse to get here. Decided I'd better get going, but kinda regret it.

Play it if nearby for sure. Just don't expect to be amazed or anything. It's great for what it is though. Really nice little pitch and putt. I enjoyed it.
