Multi-purpose park...oh, and there's disc golf 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 1, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Baskets are new and in great shape. Decent place to do a quick one disc round with either a putter or a mid. The park that it's in is super kid friendly, with both a playground and a splash park.

Cons:

While the course itself is lightly used, the park and yards surrounding it are very busy. Hole 8 in particular is terribly designed, as it requires a blind throw across a bike path that is heavily used by kids.
The mulch teepads are worn out and muddy. Wooden poles located directly behind the pads are in the way. Course has zero unique or particularly fun holes.

Other Thoughts:

I periodically take my daughter here. It gives us a chance to walk the disc golf course together, and then hit the playground and splash pad afterwards for her. Unless you've got young kids though, there's not much of a reason to play it more than once.

Decent Addition to the Omaha Area 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 13, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Decent shot variety. There are plenty of trees to make you think about what line you want to play.

Tees/baskets are very well marked. Some holes do have baskets close to other holes, but a quick glance at the basket will tell you which one you're playing to.

The course flows very well. If you want to play multiple rounds, the basket at hole 9 puts you close to the tee for hole 1.

Very clean, quiet park.

Cons:

Only 9 holes, and only 1 tee pad/basket location per hole, so there's not much variety. There's definitely not enough room for a full 18-hole course though, so the course uses the available space in the park well.

Not much elevation change.

Wood chip tee boxes. Not a big deal especially since this is a new course, but cement tee boxes would obviously be a big upgrade.

Not much length. Holes 5 and 8 are the longest holes, and both are only just a bit over 400'.

Close proximity to houses on the south and east side. Shouldn't be an issue if you're accurate, but an errant shot could easily end up in someone's yard.

Other Thoughts:

This is a good option for people who want to practice or play a quick round or two and don't want to deal with a crowded course. There are some neighborhood kids that use the east end of the park for flag football, but hole 7 is the only one that would be affected by this.

Fun Little Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 26, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

1. Way more challenging than we expected. (Thought it was going to be super easy)
2. They used trees well to make short holes more challenging.
3. Very clean park
4. Well marked tee boxes and baskets.

Cons:

1. They installed the tee box marking poles directly behind the pads. Terrible!
2. Pads are made with wood chips (probably due to budget and newness) but worked fine.
3. Houses (with quite a few little kids when we played) are really close on some holes.

Other Thoughts:

Overall it was a fun course. We will definitely go back. They used the available space well without intruding on the open space. My main complaint would be the location of the tee box markers directly behind the tee boxes. IF you are not real accurate there are a couple holes that will make you nervous because of the close proximity of houses.
