Pros:
Aesthetic-- plays through a large multi-use park in rural "thumb" michigan. Course plays near multiple amenities.
Bakets-- all there. chainstars in good repair. no condition issues. bright orange neck bands on all for added visibility.
Teesigns- #6 and #9 missing? not sure. the ones that were there were good, not great. the hole #, distance and par were listed and where a diagram should have been was a large sponsors ad.
Variety-- nice in this department. starts out with a 400+, then a 300+, then a 400+. the woods are tighter and shorter as they should be.
Routing and navigation, pretty easy actually. teepads are marked with signs. not really a worry where to tee from.
Teepads-- Grass/mud/dirt. not terrible or rutted out though.
Cons:
Challenge factor-- the biggest challenge I had was the wind. other than that the excitement/challenge factor were pretty low here.
Hole 8a/b?--not sure where the secondary teepad is on this hole but it's only 10' shorter than the other. Not really sure it's necessary.
Hole 9-- no sign. there was a large "9" painted on the tree next to #8's basket so I was assuming this was a local #9 or Winter #9. there was no teesign on the sledding hill so I'm not sure where #9 Tee is.
Danger-- #3 plays VERY near a playground and pavillion. #8 and #9 play over a sand volleyball court and #2 plays near a hammer/discus/shot put throw circle. the potential danger zones are many here.
Other Thoughts:
This course was far better than Caro but still pretty much a dud.
