Rolling hills with some fun lines

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 20, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Decided to go a little out of my way to play Cedarock so I could try and bag both courses since they both rate well.

As you drive in the park is huge and beautiful. There are horses, cows, sheep, walking trails, biking trails and even foot golf. Plus two 18 hole courses.

I'm in!

This one is the first course you come to by a gazebo and bathrooms, it also has a turf putting green which is very cool around the practice basket.

All of the holes have two tees and many have a third, I played the blues which are the longest and I would say that from those tees it's a solid blue level course. You throw a lot of mids and fairways here since many holes are in the 250-375ft range, but there are also some longer par 4s where you can break out a driver and give it a crank.

Baskets are discatchers and though they aren't new we're all in good shape. The baskets have little next tee arrows on them which is always welcome. Pads were concrete and taper towards the front, they also have a corner painted the color of the layout you are playing (blue/white/red) which is very helpful. Signs ar simple but accurate and helpful. Benches on many, though not all holes.

The property is a mix between mildly wooded(lots of huge old hardwoods and younger pines) and rolling hill pasture type terrain. This made for an enjoyable variety and some cool hole shapes.

Nice bridges were needed to cross the creek that splits the course.

I think it's a fun variety and test of different skills, so if you can hit lines but don't have distance, you can score on some holes, the same if you throw bombs but can't shape shots, everyone has some holes they can score on even if you can't shred.

The amount of birds of this course was amazing if you are at all ornithologically inclined.

Cons:

It's a really solid track but there are a few things that keep it off the 4 rating I wanted to give it. I'm no James Conrad, but on some of these longer holes the pads are too short. A 6 ft pad is fine for holes under 400ft, but for some of these 500-700+ ft holes you need a bit more room.

The navigation is mainly targeted at the White pads. They are probably original and most played, but if you are looking for blues you need a map or you won't find some of them. A few are very far from the rest of the pads.

The blues are normally just a slightly longer position with maybe a slight added challenge but a few of them where there was no room to move it back they just made a weird angle, it may not have been totally necessary to add another pad for those.

Other Thoughts:

Overall a very enjoyable course in a beautiful park, if I'm back by I would love to play it again in better weather.

A nice companion to Wellspring 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Oct 4, 2020 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Cedarrock is a nice companion to the adjacent Wellspring course. It offers mostly wide open disc golf where Wellspring is a tight, typical North Carolina course.
Pros
- Some long open holes that let you throw for distance.
- Some decent elevation changes on many holes.
- Tee pads and baskets in great shape.
- In a very nice park with good parking and bathroom facilities.
- Very nice upkeep with beautiful mowed grassy fairways throughout.

Cons:

- Some of the tee pads are very close to previous greens. Be alert for incoming shots
- Some of the fairways cross or come very close to crossing. You have to always be alert as the openness can lead to stray shots jumping fairways.
- Some of the early holes are a little on the boring side. Just wide open shots across fields.
- To me, the course lacked personality. It's a subjective thing, but it was fun..just not "special".

Other Thoughts:

We enjoyed our day at Cedarock Park. We did the Cedarock course first, had lunch, then played Wellspring. I think that was the correct choice as Cedarock is much longer. It's a fun day trip and definitely worth your time to play two decent courses back-to-back.

Cedarock a Pleasure! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 7, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Well maintained open course. Plenty of space on a lot of holes to Air IT out! Easy to navigate. Challenging even from the shorts.
Not a lot of leaf cover to lose discs in, despite autumn in NC. Nice break from wooded courses where tight alleys and plenty of cellulose can frustrate a beginner before you know what your throws and discs can do. Having a woods course right there as well for those so inclined is also a plus. Never crowded on the week days either.

Cons:

Some holes missing signage.

Other Thoughts:

The drive from Cary, NC is totally worth it. (Little over an hour.)

The Great Wide Open 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 30, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great signs.
Great practice/warm-up area near #1. Always appreciated!
Very well-maintained; grass mown, trails clear of debris and
trash and baskets are in good shape.
No trouble off the tees; you can bomb it and will need to in a few cases.
As I am not long off the tee, this course forced me to make two and sometimes three excellent shots to get the putter in my hand. A great challenge and change of pace from the wooded, technical places I typically play.

Cons:

Tee pads, as mentioned by everyone, are too short.
Sometimes difficult to navigate. A couple of spots have a profusion of baskets and tees due to the layout of the holes. Easily solved but takes some looking at the signs, searching for the right basket based on the map, etc.

Other Thoughts:

Really fun place to play. Play this to loosen up, then play Wellspring. Drive down the road and eat at Hursey's BBQ. That's an awesome day of disc golf!

Open up your mind 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 16, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Cedarock is located on a beautiful piece of property in a park that also has fishing, hiking and equestrian trails, a farm and many other amenities. The shop with discs and snacks is a welcome sight at any park.

This course is not typical of Piedmont area courses. It was fun to air it out (such as it is for me) on a few drives and second shots.

This course was a lot of fun for my dad and I even though we prefer wooded courses. I was not expecting the variety of shots necessary to play a course so open. There was enough elevation change and trees sprinkled about to keep things interesting.

I threw forehand, backhand, hyzer and anny including a big hyzer on 10 to get over the trees. That was a fun gap to play!

The course itself appeared to be freshly mowed and well maintained in general.

I understand this course gets crowded. We got there as the park opened and only saw one other group, so we had time to search for tee pads and errant discs without being rushed.

Cons:

Take a map. The layout is not intuitive. The signs help, but a little scouting to make sure you are throwing to the correct basket may help.

I think I understand the tee pads that correlate with a certain basket position, but some baskets are blind so I wasn't sure where to throw from. When in doubt we threw from the shorts.

The tee pads are super small in most cases.

Other Thoughts:

This course was a lot of fun and I'm glad we played it. I had played Wellspring on five different occasions without even giving the open course a look.I recommend playing as soon as the park opens this time of year. It will be brutally hot in the afternoon.

This is a great accompaniment to Wellspring right next door. We did not do the figure 8, but the courses are close enough it is easy to play them individually while parked in one spot.

I think I would prefer to play both of these courses in the fall and winter when it's cooler on Cedarock and less foliage on Wellspring.

Disc Golf Oasis 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 4, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Not to belabor the point in the previous 50 reviews, but it's true: Cedarock is unique among North Carolina courses. It's wide open. Field golf, meadow golf, ball golf style...whatever you want to call it. There are a few trees strategically placed (some baskets are nicely guarded), but for the most part, this is just long, wide open golf.

The other big positive for me, besides the course's uniqueness, is the use of elevation. There are nice downhills, uphills, valley shots, and holes that start uphill, but finish to blind downhill baskets.

There's also a nice hole--one of the few with trees to contend with off the tee--that you have to throw high through a tunnel, in between branches on the left, right, above, and below. Neat hole and different.

Other positives:
- There's a pro shop where you can buy discs and snacks. So cool. All courses should have pro shops!
- Great amenities. Clean bathrooms and lots of other activities at the park (fishing, beach volleyball, canoeing, grilling out).
- The course is beautiful and exceptionally well maintained.

Cons:

I have the same two cons that have been mentioned in previous reviews: the tee pads aren't great and navigation isn't always intuitive (the multiple tees and baskets on every hole can be confusing), but this is nitpicking. It's an excellent course.

Other Thoughts:

As a standalone course, I would dock it for being *too* wide open and not having much variety. As a course, I rate it a 3.5. But for 36 holes of golf, together tlwith Wellspring, these courses are close to a 4.0. You can play them as a figure 8 (jump from one course to the other), or each as standalone rounds. However you chose to play the Cedarock courses, consider them a 36-hole disc golf oasis and leave yourself enough time to play every hole at least once.

Unleash 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 14, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This course is nothing like Wellspring. It's open, and longer - it's classy and classic. It an oldie and a goldie as it was establish in 1984 and at that time was the 5th course ever built in NC.
This is a course you can really crank your drives. However, none of the holes are a gimmie and there's several holes that you can get into some major trouble, should you shank it. The great thing is if you do shank it, recovering is very doable. It's a fair course that rewards your good drives and approach shots.
The course is clean and mowed frequently. There are benches and trash cans on just about every hole.
The terrain is beautiful rolling hills, valleys and a small creek through the center of the course (casual water). It covers about 11 acres.
There's a good variety of different hole placements along with one mando and a unique window shot through some trees. There's two tees on every hole, which makes it play from short to really long. There are also two baskets positions for each hole. Both Cedarock and Wellsprings courses have installed all new disCatchers baskets (gotta love that!). The tee signs are new as well and the graphics are clear and well designed which allows the course to be easily navigated!

Cons:

No course is perfect - and this course has had plenty of time to be tweeted. The tweaks I would recommend at this time would be to extend a few of the tee pads. Some are fine but, a number need minor repair as well.

Other Thoughts:

This course has stood the test of time and remains one of the better courses in North Carolina. Having an additional really nice woodland course in the same park makes it a Disc Golf Mecca!

A nice two punch combo 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 1, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

A nice switch up to most North Carolina courses, which for you non NC residents means some wide open holes on a majority of the course and huge fairways. If airing it out is your bread and butter, this course is for you. Some aim is required for the right turn holes (like number 3) and hard left turns (like hole 10). The best part about this course is that another 18 hole course boarders it, which gives you a chance to play 36 holes without having to drive to the next course. WellSpring is the boardering course, which is a completely diffrent course, being shorter and all in the woods. I'll save the rest of that info for a review on that course. Concrete pads are on every hole there are tee signs at every hole, just not every pad.

Cons:

Only a few knocks on this one. Navigation can be a bit tricky if you dont have a guide, most holes have 2 to 3 pads, plus some holes with 2 pin locations depending on what pad you're playing. There is only one tee sign per pad but it does give you a good layout on which basket to throw to depending on what pad you throw from. The only hole I had an issue with was a 700+ foot hole that was a par 4. For you big arms thats not a problem, it's an easy par but newer players would have trouble getting the 4.

Other Thoughts:

Its a town run park with bathrooms and drink machines. Its well maintained and trimmed up nicely. I really enjoyed this course, and if it was closer I would play it a lot more.

A Welcome Change of Pace 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 21, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Course Layout: The pins were in the short position, but we threw from the blues/gold tees. Most of the pins had unique pin placements that made the approach shot not exactly straightforward. Awesome use of tree placement both lining the fairways and in play.

Course Upkeep: One of the better kept courses I've played in the triangle area.

Navigation: I did not get lost once, as navigation from hole to hole is fairly easy.

Bombshots: I loved the fact I could air out my drives. Those courses are hard to come by. The only other one I would say close to Raleigh would be Zebulon, but this one takes the cake from that one.

Close-proximity to Wellspring: We played the figure-8 layout and played all 36 holes. I'm glad we did. Awesome day of disc golf.

Cons:

Teepads: Like every other person has said on here, the pads need to be re-poured. They measure between 4 and 5 feet in length and maybe 3 feet wide? Not nearly large enough for a course that has 600+ ft holes.

Other Thoughts:

If they re-did the pads and trimmed down a few overgrown branches, this course has the potential to be a 5/5. If you can set aside the fact that the variety isn't the best, I think you would agree. Wellspring is there for a reason, and it's to compensate for this lengthy course. Do not play this course if you cannot drive 300+ ft. It will probably get a little boring for you.

Pros:

-Well, this course is nothing like Wellspring. It's really open, and longer. This was something different in the 31 courses I have played. It's very classic. I usually play courses that were established later than this course. This is just good old fashioned disc golf.
-You can easily get out of trouble on this course. It's very open! You got room to launch you driver a very long way! Just rip it! It won't cost you strokes unless you really shank it. That's the beauty of it, just watch it fly.
-This place has no litter, none. The designer(s) put good work into this place. There are benches and trash cans on every hole. I didn't see one piece of trash on the course.
-This land has a pretty hilly terrain. #15 is a perfect example. It's a super fun valley shot. That hole right there is a hole where you just want to empty your bag.
-Some good variety! #2 has a mando pointing you left. A few small dropoffs, some "air it out" holes, and #10 is also something different on this course. It's a window shot over some trees. That's the signature hole on the course because it's different. #11 is slightly wooded too.
-At least two tees on almost if not every hole. This course can go from short to really long. The baskets are moved into different positions. They are in the short right now.
-The course is usually secluded. It's usually all yours. Sometimes people cut the grass but it's something to appreciate. Tall grass sucks.
-The new 28 chain disCatchers are great. They catch well, they are not beaten up.
-The farm, homestead and the museum are what make this place unique. It's a great place in the country! I haven't been to a park this interesting. It's not your typical place even though it has a playground.
-Great tee signs! I had no trouble at all finding the basket. I played the whites and thank God it showed where they were located on the signs, cause if they were not, I wouldn't have known what tees you played

Cons:

-The tee pads need to be MUCH longer. This course is pretty long. If you think five foot tee pads are not a problem on a course with holes mostly over 300+ feet. You are wrong.
-It's a little tricky to find #11. When you finish #10. Go back down the hill and go left.
-Plenty of wide open holes without much appeal. There are four on the back nine that just aren't much fun. #13 and #16-18. #17 and #18 are long par fours, but they are bland.

Other Thoughts:

-I had a blast playing this course because it was something different, other than scenery back when I played it in 2013. It's just good old fashioned disc golf in the country. I played again ten years later and had some different opinions on a few holes. I enjoy the holes with more trees. The window shot on #10 is always going to be a blast to play. I love the exclusively wooded 11th hole too.

-Wellspring is a wooded course and it is also at this park. I think this course is better because it doesn't have many issues. Wellspring is really good too and you should give that course a shot as well.

-If you play the gold, then you better be able to rip it if you want birdies to come. If you play the shorter tees, you will find it easier and a bit more forgiving if your launch goes bad. Neither of the courses can punish you that badly at this place but it takes something to get your birdie. They are both fun courses and really worth the stop. If you shoot under par here, Wellspring should be a snap but if you blow up here, Wellspring may not be easy either but this is the tougher course because some players do not have what it takes to throw 500 feet but luckily this course doesn't require throws THAT long but you need some nice long throws if you want to shoot very well here.

This is one of the good ones. It's all in the open yes, but there's so many elevation changes, and the pockets of trees make every hole seem different. It's incredibly scenic and full of beautiful, memorable holes.

You could point to the lack of wooded holes, and if Wellspring wasn't there, that would be a fault. You could try and not include its existence in your review but you would fail. The whole time you are on the course, you know that it is there. You know the 18 holes in the woods are coming up.

Cons:

are there any?

I guess the fact that you need to make sure you have time to play 36, because you aren't going to only want to play one course here.

My Home Course; My Favorite Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Apr 3, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

32 years old, Cedarock is still the course to play. With big, big sky and green, green grass, Cedarock is wide, wide open as a golf course should be and completely convertible for alternate layouts. (Red/Blue and White/Gold) Both configurations will test you on distance and direction, as Bob and Carlton employed the limited elevation differentials as well as the trees and tree lines to utmost utilization. For recreational or intermediate players, Cedarock Red and White will let you break par and even get aces, but can also be stern taskmistresses if taken for granted. For pros and advanced ams, the Blue and Gold tees will allow for driving for show to putt for dough.
With forested, bordering Wellspring all but adjoining this course, Cedarock Park remains a great disc golf destination, though it might no longer be #1, as it was in the late 80's and early 90's. The courses are laid out so that an easy, well flowing, half and half round of nine holes on each course can be enjoyed for an interesting, more diverse 18. (CR 1, 2, 3, 8, WS 16, 17, 3, 4, 7, 10, 13, 14, 15, CR 9. 10, 16, 17, 18)
Cedarock Park is mostly a nature park of approximately 600 acres, offering miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, primitive camping, kayak rentals, lake fishing, picnic shelters, playground, open air half court basketball, beach volleyball and the historic farm, dating back to the mid 18th century...and the ropes course might still be in place. And there is appropriate and available land for the possible permanent placement of the presently extinct temporary tournament Rock Creek course, to accompany the supposedly planned green level, novice nine holer to be built on some portion of the recently acquired couple of hundred acres that were added to the long standing 414 acres.
Amenities are aplenty with adequate signage, nearby rest rooms, as well as snacks and beverages in the office building. Cedarock and Wellspring may be the best benched courses in existance, though I think, by and large, the recently installed, backless metal benches are inferior to the hand hewn wooden benches with backs that were produced and placed by the original players' association when the courses were new.
The park is so big and the course is placed so that there is almost no interacton with other activity areas. You may occasionaly encounter horseback riders. Give them the right of way, as horses are generally stupid, horse people are often intoxicated and the horse trails were there first.

Cons:

May be too open and easy for pros and advanced ams in the original short pins positions, but the gold layout will test the best of the best, especially if you rate it as a straight par 3, as we did for over 20 years. Some of the posted pars on the nice new tee signs seem arbitrarily easy for pro and advanced players and out of line with PDGA guidelines. There shuld be far fewer Par 4's on the Blue and Gold layouts. Some of the holes could use more than just the one tee sign, as the tees are a ways apart. Tee pad color assignment needs correction on Hole 14, so that it would be in line with the three pad correctness of Holes 7 and 18. 15 and 18 White should both definitely be rated as Par 4's here on the site and on the signs and cards, for a better overall par schematic of 58..
Most of the tee pads are as old as the course. At 6' by 3', many contemporary players consider them too small, but there is adequate, level, step-up/run-up area behind each one.

Other Thoughts:

It was on this course, with only my pre-patent number, dirt brown Aero that I parked it on the original number 5, which teed from what is now the #5 blue pad and went to a now extinct green, that made me think out loud that maybe I could play this sport without stinking it up.

Learn to play here and move on to Wellspring 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 5, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

small concrete tees provide a clear starting area. Excellent tee signs even though the color system is a little confusing with the multiple tees and pin possibilities.
Discatchers are in great shape.
Hole 10 is a great hole! It is an elevated, sneak it through a small window, hole.
Very family friendly design. It is a solid course great for learning how to play.
Another course is onsite with in walking distance.

Cons:

Tee pads were a little too small. The entire course was cramped and crowded, numerous times people from other holes were on other fairways.
People putting at basket 2 and basket 12 were in each other's way. On #15 I nailed #11's tee hard, luckily no one was around. 7 and 8 played parallel so drives from both tees could end in the other's fairway.

The front 9 are nothing special, mostly short flat holes with a little elevation around hole 6. The back 9 add more challenge and more interesting shots, but no other holes to match hole 10. Most of the course is open with no shade.

No way to know which pin position the basket is in. Several pins are very different and both are blind, like 9 and 11 for example.
A few issues of confusion; Hole 5's tee pad is pointed at the visible #6 basket, so it is easy to throw at the wrong basket. Hole 16 is pointed at 13's basket and I did throw at the wrong basket. I did not know I had made a mistake until I walked to tee 17 and saw another basket. 11 was a little tough to find the tee pad. Hole 10 ends at hole 16's tee pad.

Other Thoughts:

On hole 6 you can peak into the woods and see Wellspring and think, why the heck am I playing here? Cedarock is where you disc golf with your family, Wellspring is where you wish you were while you were playing Cedarock.

They tried to do too much and it gets cluttered and confusing.

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 8, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

It's all open holes! The kind of course that you don't see around these parts very much. Sometimes I just want to throw a disc without hoping to get lucky and miss all of those trees. Some holes have no obstacles and some have 1 or 2 trees.

There is a good variety of holes here. Long, short, uphill, downhill, over valley, left, right...

practice basket

red, white, blue, gold layouts, although maybe not all available on the day you play, depending on basket locations.

Pro shop at the park with many different discs for sale. (all profits go to course maintenance, or so I heard)

rest rooms, water fountains, benches

detailed signs, giving distance and par for every layout of the hole

Some holes are so long you can throw your longest shot ever, and not overthrow it.

There's also a wooded course in the same park; you can play both while you're here.

Cons:

Short tees; most of them too short for a run-up.

It can be confusing trying to figure what basket goes with which tee if you're not familiar with the course.

The main parking lot has no shade.

The park has a closing time, and the rangers will ride around on carts telling people to move along.

18 runs right next to a road.

Other Thoughts:

By the way, the hole info needs to be updated on this page. Next time I go, maybe I will write down everything... but at least a couple of holes have inaccurate distance and par info here. #3, for example, is shorter than indicated here.

I like wooded courses, but sometimes I'm in the mood to just let 'er rip. And this course is a welcome change of pace. Very few obstacles to dodge.

On the blind holes that have multiple pin locations, obviously you need to find out where the pin is before you tee off. I don't think the current pin location is indicated anywhere on the sign.

After hole 10, you need to walk down the hill to 11. The tee pad for 16 is right there next to 10 basket, and you can skip 5 holes if you're not careful. When you do get to 16, basket 13 looks like the one you'd throw at (at least in the configuration the baskets were in today), but 16 basket is actually to the left of the treeline that marks the left edge of the field. Blind hole.

2 Courses, 1 Round 2+ years

Pros:

- Ball Golf Like. The grass fairways and scenery of the course give you that "ball golf" course feel. As a former ball golfer, I enjoy that aspect of the course. Plus, it's a beautiful park.
- Grip it and Rip it. Cedarock is a relatively wide-open, grass fairway course that allows you to grip it and rip it on several holes. However, that's not to say that the holes don't require you to shape shots around trees, or be conscious of thick rough. I can see why the course has the hype it does... very rarely in NC do you get an open, grass fairway, grip it and rip it hole... let alone a whole course worth.
- Two Courses, One Park. I love when I can bag two new courses in one great location. Especially two courses that are completely different from one another. At Cedarock / Wellspring, you can jump-on / jump-off of each course mid-round and hook into the other course to make a 36 hole round. Otherwise you'd have to drive to the other courses' parking lot to start your second round. To do so, after finishing Cedar's 8th hole, you can jump onto Wellspring at Hole 16... play out the course through Hole 15 and then jump back onto Cedarock at Hole 9. This worked for me... and helped to break up the monotony of the relatively wide-open Cedarock.

Cons:

- Confusing Tee-Signs. Let me start off by saying that the tee-signs are beautiful and work well once you understand how to interpret them. With that said:
The tee-signs are confusing at first, showing two pin positions and two (sometimes more) tee-pad locations. The pins and tee-pads are color coded (red, white, blue, gold... and sometimes a blend of two colors) to help you understand what's what. However, the tee-signs make it appear as though there are 4 options per hole (Short Tee to Short Pin, Short Tee to Long Pin, Long Tee to Short Pin and Long Tee to Long Pin)... which may seem normal, but 4-option holes are commonly seen at Charlotte courses, so that's how I was interpreting the signs. However, there are really only 2 options. This is because there is really only 1 pin in the ground (either in the long or short), giving you two options (short-pad to pin placement, or long-pad to pin placement). And, depending upon the pin placement the pin is in, and the tee-pad you choose to play from, you will be playing a certain color hole (red, white, blue, gold).
Also note: on the holes where there is only 1 pin position and the basket never moves, there are up to 4 tee-pad locations.
- The Wrong Basket. There are too many holes where you can see a different hole's basket from the tee-pad. I threw at the wrong basket on a few holes and had to backtrack down the fairway to re-play the holes properly. Hole 10 comes to mind: you're looking through a nice gap in the trees directly at a basket. It looks like a great shot, until you park it and then realize when you arrive on scene that it's 15's basket and that 10's basket is tucked down to the left.
- Tee-Pads: Slivers of Concrete. The tee-pads were 3' x 4' slivers of concrete. You can easily do a run up from behind the tee-pad and smoothly transition onto the sliver... however, when you're trying to have a championship(-ish) level course, nothing beats LARGE concrete tees. The problem at Cedarock seems to be that they wanted to install multiple, tee-pads for each hole instead of one really nice one.

Other Thoughts:

- Overall. Cedarock was a good time. I certainly wasn't mad at it... except for when I had to walk back down fairways after throwing to the wrong baskets. The open, grass fairway, ball-golfish, bombers are a welcome sight (especially in NC); however, that alone doesn't make a course great, or even hype-worthy. The multiple small concrete tee-pads are decent for throwing from, but could have been improved upon if they were larger... and if there were simply fewer of them (the excess of tee-pads get kind of ugly as you look across the park). The combination of having two distinctly different courses in one park definitely adds to the flavor of the location and desirability to bag it. For me, Cedarock did not live up to the hype... but then again, with two courses in one location and both being pretty decent, maybe it does / they do.
My Score: -6 (Whites: Short Tees to Long Pins)
