One of the best 9 hole courses

Reviewed: Played on:May 4, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

2 cement tee pads per hole (we played the from the long tees)

I liked every hole (except #2, filler hole or a hole for the beginner player to regain their confidence from that first hole, but a must birdie)!!

What a nice hole to start on with # 1, Over 500 feet long with the basket perched on top of the hill.

Hole # 3, my introduction to the sunken basins of the course. Basket was a turnover shot for me (LHBH). with the basket position next to the sunken basin.

Hole # 5 & 6 we're long but fair. # 5 had a tighter fairway to navigate, but had several lanes to use. I loved where Basket # 6 was located!! Perched atop of a hillside with danger danger on the backside of the basket (at least a 50 foot drop off )

Hole # 7, one threw their drive from a sunken basin up to a basket. Really easy to hit a tree going up the hill and get stuck in the basin for another attempt up the hill, but enough room for an ace run or a birdie

Nice balance of difficulty for a small neighborhood park DG course.

A few holes one had to navigate their drives over sunken basins.

No worries if one's shot ended up in the sunken basin as they had a heavy duty rope that one could hold on to to navigate going up and down the steep hillside.

Cons:

lack of benches

Other Thoughts:

Everyone in my group including myself said that this course was one of the best 9 hole courses they've ever played!!

Neighborhood was within a short shot away from hearing louder voices coming from the course (in my group in particular, one player used vulgar language because of their bad throw and I saw one of the neighbors look right at us). So just use a little common sense and respect !!

The park had a nice little playground for the kids and a park shelter for all.

The tornado siren works really good!! I thought it was located somewhere near the park.

Downtown Manchester is a small quaint town with a few options to do if the wife would rather do while you played a round of Disc Golf.

Decent sized lake for fishing or feeding the birds.
