Pros:

Well layer out with the first few in the woods and the last few is the open. Huge map at first to help with navigation. Lots of cools signs directing you to parking and on every tee sign. Very nice tee signs. Newer concrete pads.

Cons:

If I had to be picky it would be that the grass was long, real long. Finding a disc was still no problem. Last hole was ridiculous. Every course has to have that 800footer just to say they got something that long.

Other Thoughts:

Very cool and plenty of space for a few more 9s. I\'ll play again. Drove 45 mins to play this.

Dodson Disc Golf 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 5, 2020 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This is a great course for any level player. Easy enough for a beginner, but still challenging for an intermediate or expert. No water to worry about. I love the elevated basket on hole 4.

Cons:

Some of the holes are difficult to find if it is your first time playing. You kind of have to back track from hole 4 to get to hole 5.

Other Thoughts:

The directions to this course are a bit confusing. There is a gate at the entrance that says "No trespassing" making it seem like a private property. But if you drive right through it you will find the course up the road with a parking lot to the right of the road.

Rusk County's First DGC 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 12, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Concrete Tee pads/ multiple

Powder coated baskets

Next tee sign arrows in basket anchor made out of pebbles

Driving range on site

Cons:

Designed for beginners : not a huge concern, but something to know/understand

Still freshly installed. Not broken in yet

No restrooms

No parking lot as of 9/12/2018
-One is said to be going in-

No benches as of 9/12/2018
- They are being scheduled to be built-in

Other Thoughts:

Since I am the designer of the course I will keep this short

The course is designed for beginners, but will be fun for all ages

Course is located in a new public park that is still in the very early stages of development

Parking lot, restrooms, and camping are in the works for the park. I worked exclusively with the Rusk County Parks Dept on the course design, and installation process.

A back nine will be built once funds are raised.

Course has a good mix of different shots

Course is still freshly installed

This review will be updated as the course progresses throughout the next few years
