Small Yet Fun

Reviewed: Played on:May 7, 2022 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

18 holes with DIScatcher 28 baskets in great condition. Two tees on almost every hole (mostly concrete, perhaps 1 or 2 are on asphalt. Course meanders through small city park, and it offers a range of forehand/backhand shots, low ceilings and open air holes, as well as water carries. Good challenge without being overwhelming as far as distance. Unique hole 16 offers a view of downtown West Palm playing down a grass/sand covered landfill. Easy to access and plenty of parking. Two practice baskets on a large traffic island not far from hole 1.

Cons:

Being a city park, the course has a lot of foot traffic and so you may have to wait on pedestrians/park users. You may encounter homeless people or areas where they stay (only place it comes into play is near hole 18's basket). Fairly noisy as it plays next to one of the busiest surface streets in West Palm Beach as well as the airport being about a mile away. No official tee signs yet (UDISC is accurate).

Other Thoughts:

This course is small but fun. You can shoot low even without the biggest arm here, and you can avoid the water shots with smart play (please do not enter the water hazards to retrieve an errant throw). It's a great add to an area that has several solid courses and is worth your time if you are flying into or driving through West Palm Beach.

Unfinished but playable 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 3, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Park is nicely situated immediately off the exit from highway 95, close to downtown and 5m from beach.

Cons:

While most/all baskets do have the hole marked on them, at time of review, most holes have no pad or sign to indicate tee location.
There is also no sign indicating where to begin the course or course map onsite.

Other Thoughts:

The baskets are new and have new flags atop, so I'm supposing/hoping this course is simply new and unfinished.

Well rounded round 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 6, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Multiple shot shapes. Elevation (rare in FL).

Cons:

Somewhat difficult to follow layout. (the Udisc map could use an update)

Other Thoughts:

Some technical shots and some water carry. A great intermediate level course with some good challenges to work on as a beginner!
