Pros:

Eleanor Roosevelt DGC is located at the middle school of the same name. Nine hole course that wraps around the property starting on the SE side playing toward the west and looping back to the eastern parking lot.

Nice new blue banded Prodigy baskets here. These seem like they're the older versions of the baskets. Not too familiar with the Prodigy models but these seem like the chain assembly is more forgiving than the newer ones. Nice and visible, catch well and are mounted correctly. One basket and pin position per hole.

The tee signs are blocks imbedded into the ground that have the hole #, par and distance. These serve as the tee too so they're killing two birds with one stone on these things. Better than nothing. A unique feature here was they also had these same sized stones set into the ground next to the basket. These ones had an arrow and told you how many feet it was to the next tee (stone). Strange.

The flow of the course is extremely easy to follow once you locate the first tee. Basically hole to hole. Or it could be played that way. No backtracking or extra long walks between holes.

There's not much for trees in play here but there's a little bit of elevation used and the wind can be a problem. I found that out firsthand.

Clean grounds, well mowed and maintained. Free to play and permanent.

Cons:

The tee "signs" are next to impossible to find. You'd waste more time trying to find them than to just play basket to basket. SOOO much more time. I'd rather have a 4x4 in the ground with no info on them than these things. Good in theory, terrible in reality.

Bland course. Not the designers fault, just what's available to work with. Pretty much wide open nothingness.

Not available during school hours, obviously, but that limits the time that this place could be played or even used for practice sessions. It is what it is though.

Other Thoughts:

Typical school course. Not worth any kind of trip out of your way to play. It's not even really worth it if you're nearby. Nine baskets around a school. Not the worst school course I've seen, not the best either. It's here if you need to play it though. Good for what it's intended to be.
