Ugh...

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 10, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

There are nine baskets here mostly in a big wide open field but the baskets are in great shape, look brand new. The course plays mostly through walking paths and even across soccer and baseball fields, the designers tried to add length here even. Fair views of the surrounding mountains and the course is full of lush, green grass that is nicely manicured.

Cons:

There are no tee pads or even any semblance of where the tee pads would be unless you use Udisc. I tried following the design they laid out on there and found weird walk outs and throwing to baskets that were way past the 6 or 7 I could see that were closer. It's practically impossible to follow and play this especially with how popular this park is with other non disc golf activities and how dangerous even throw is; I had to wait for several kids and families to even attempt the proposed layout. I think just throwing to the nearest basket you can see and then from there throwing to the next basket that looks interesting to you is a better way to play this course which is what I did after a few long unnecessary walkouts to then throw across walking paths and baseball diamonds. It's basically 9 baskets in fields with a few scattered trees or fences as obstacles. This is another example of a city park trying to cram too many activities into a small piece of land when disc golf in my opinion needs it's own space.

Other Thoughts:

If you were to play this at 7 am in the morning on a weekday you maybe could play the proposed layout on Udisc or make up your own safari course. As it is it's a very boring, open course that should be played basket to basket being very cautious of when to throw. This is another skip it unless you're a local or hardcore course bagger type of course and even then it's questionable.
