Pros:

Empire DGC is a pretty nice little niner just outside the twin cities. The course has a quiet, peaceful vibe to it being out in the country a bit. The park is basically disc golf exclusive besides the occasional walker. Most likely never going to be busy either due to location.

Nice new DGA Mach V's on every hole. These are some of the better baskets on the market imo. All are mounted nicely and catch great. These have the circular number plates on top of each too. One basket and pin placement per hole.

The tee pads are gravel. Two tees per hole. I didn't have any issues with these, though it was dry when we played. Plenty long and wide enough.

The tee signs are pretty basic but have all the essential info. Hole number, par, distance and any applicable OB described. These are mounted on little wood posts which also helps locating the tees themselves. Simple but effective.

The design is very well done here. It's not a huge park so there's limitations in what you could do here. Going with the nine holes with dual tees was the correct choice. There's a couple wide open holes but most have at least a few trees to contend with. Hole 3 would be the signature hole imo. Starts out open before playing to a treacherous green with the river snaking along the left side of the fairway. Hole 4 is another good one with a tight tunnel the entire length of the hole. Then there's hole 9, the bomber hole on the course. Just a great mix of different hole types for only being nine holes. A little bit of everything, especially considering the dual tees.

Very easy to follow course. The park itself was in great shape when we played in late October.

Cons:

There's a little bit of walk from hole 5 to 6. Nothing major but this is the one trickier navigational spot. You'll want to finish out the hole on 5 then head back and past where you just teed off from to find the tees for hole 6. More a PSA than con.

The rough off the fairway wasn't too bad in late fall. I'd imagine in the middle of summer this may be different. Definite chance to lose a disc out here between the prairie grass and the river on hole 3.

I don't know for sure, but being next to the river I'd assume that the bugs can get bad out here in warmer months. Again, I played in late fall so I don't know for sure but just be prepared if playing in the summer.

Other Thoughts:

This was a fun little course. I'd gladly play this one again if I find myself nearby. Not worth going out of your way to play by any means but for sure worth a visit if you're near here.
