Pros:
Franklin Field is a baseball/softball complex with fields on both side of the road. The course is cleverly set up so it's plays up and back through each of the 40' wide openings between the fields. With a baseball fence on both sides of the fairway plus numerous trees, accuracy is the key here. Distance is not needed. The holes playing past the outfield fences give you more room to throw. I love the way the fences can protect your roller from going too far astray so I ended up rolling on many of these holes.
There are concrete pads at each hole as well as the new fiberglass tee signs showing the hole #, par and distance as well as a basic hole map.
Cons:
I don't know how playable this course would be when games are in progress. I'm sure you would have to skip some holes, at least.
Recreational distances with no chances to really air it out. Distances are mostly in the 200's. Finesse is needed.
I think the # 16 is too close to the ballfields and dugouts. I'd move it up the hill by the play area.
Other Thoughts:
I can see how some players might feel the course might get tedious after a while. There are quite a few straight 225' holes where throwing laser straight is your best friend. I found each one to be just a little different rather it was having more trees or fewer trees or a basket in a unique placement. I thought it was a fun throw.
Playing here during ball games could result in a dangerous game similar to paintball only here your opponents are using softballs and your weapons of choice are 170 gram plastic discs.
