Compromised

Other Thoughts:

A good effort by the school to install a course, but the negatives could dominate your experience here:

- 18 holes share 9 Chainstar Lite baskets

- There are no tee signs or directional signage. The only way to identify anything are the small panels atop the baskets with the numbers ("1 / 10", "2 / 11", etc.)

- Tees are patches of gravel cut into the lawn, and the gravel is so large and deep that you risk your ankles trying any runup

- If the baseball field is being used, you can't play holes 1-4 (which also means 10 - 13 are out)

Granted, you'll come to the course knowing that it's an 18 with only 9 baskets, and you'll know enough not to show up during school hours. You'll hope that nobody's using the baseball field, because that would leave you with only 10 playable holes. You'll be careful about the cars when playing next to school's parking lots and when throwing across the main driveway. You'll quickly learn to avoid the gravel tees and play from the grass, and you'll make peace with portable baskets that might have been moved. Even though there's no signage, the back nine will be slightly easier to navigate, because you can eliminate the nearby tee that you already played from, and go find another.

Does this sound like fun to you? If so, you can go bag it like I did (it's a solid 1.0). If not, head to Creeping Creek or Leister Park. Creeping Creek has beer.
