Pros:
I was able to navigate the course easily using UDisc. The elevation changes were nice and the baskets are high quality Prodigy baskets. I really liked the turf tee pads but the rubber ones were just so so and fairly lumpy. Being able to ride a cart was nice on a 95 degree day and my son certainly enjoyed that amenity. Having a pro shop on site is also a nice treat for disc golfers.
Cons:
Overall I was disappointed in the layout. The shots were too wide open and didn't present enough obstacles. If you have a big arm you will score well as there are a few soft par 4s that have eagle potential. I feel the layout rewards distance over shot shape. My other complaint was that most of the fairways are shared by the ball golf course. I loved how Villas Crossing used a lot of land around the ball golf but didn't make every fairway shared. We had to wait on many holes for ball golfers. I was also disappointed in the friendliness or lack thereof from the club house staff. I have heard my friends have had a similar experience. Who knows...but we still had fun on the course.
Other Thoughts:
Maybe my expectations were too high coming here. I drove nearly 3 hours and I was more than willing to pay $10 for a round with a cart but I left feeling meh about the quality of the golf here. Maybe they will improve their lines in the future and utilize more of their available space.
