Be careful of where you throw--------- - 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 2, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

I'm a bagger and this course is another course added to my list of courses played.

DGA Mach 2 baskets

I liked hole # 4 the best (despite the negatives I'll mention in the con section) this hole went down and up a decent sized/ small hill. Don't go long or off the fairway.

Hole # 7 is the longest hole on this rec DGC (but I dare players to go for it with narrow fairways and high grass rough. I was playing very carefully and still searched 10 minutes plus looking for my pink disc in the dense rough).

Cons:

# 1 peeve of this DGC was the tee signs on the left side of the very small (3-4') tee pads. Being a LHBH player, I had to be very careful with my follow through when driving :(

Obviously this is a rec DG course, with that in mind. a rec player could easily throw their drive into the gazebo that is adjacent to Hole # 1's fairway.

Hole # 8 is a short hole. And the fairway crosses the walking path with no warning signs for the walkers. So a fast flying Disc could easily whack an unaware walker.

From hole # 3 through # 7 most of the fairways we're cut only 20' wide, with most of the dense rough having waist deep grass. Go off these fairways...Good luck finding your discs :( Weeds/ Grass growing up through the baskets.

Other Thoughts:

The course is 2155 feet long (avg hole length 239 feet) The park is pretty BIG. With wider fairways and longer holes, BIGGER Tee pads and the tee signs placed somewhere other than where they currently are this 9 hole DG course could easily be a cooler course to play.

Beautiful "Out in the Country" park. This park has a sand volleyball court, a couple horse shoe pits, small playground. Restrooms and 3 Gazebo's spread out along the few walking paths. Enough parking.
