Pros:

Maps and scorecards when you arrive to hyland hills ski resort. Bathroom inside as well as a pro shop for discs and other gear. Great map to follow making navigation a lot easier. Tee pads our in good shape as well as the baskets with numbers on top. Also color coordinated as the 9 hole plays inside and by the main 18. Great warm up or cool down for main course. Good Shot at an ace, and good course for new players or begginers who don't want to play the 18. Good mid range and putter practice and learning how to throw on hillside
Hole 7 and 9 were fun throws

Cons:

Pretty repetitive as you just play back, and fourth on the open mountain side.
The numbers on the baskets weren't right on a couple holes, and hole 9 gold was mixed with the blue basket. 9 gold was actually 3 blue basket and I think 1 other one was off.
Wind can be a factor might actually be a pro though as there's not many obstacles here.
Rollouts can be a thing as you're playing on the hillside most holes. Hole 2 teepad is really awkward and not positioned right

Other Thoughts:

All in all this course is what it is a great warm up or cool down. Not worth the play by itself as hyland is a pay to play area but when paired with the 18 it's okay

Pros:

Quick, easy 9 hole layout
Concrete tee pads
Maps on all the tees
Elevation changes
Quality baskets
Pro shop on-site

Cons:

Very short

Other Thoughts:

This is a fun, short 9 hole course that serves as a nice warm-up for the 18. The layout is easy to follow, as all the holes are quite short and wide open.
The layout starts at the bottom of the ski hill and works it's way up one of the 'smaller' hills. There are a couple OB opportunities with the walking path and beyond the fence on the first hole, but it's not an issue for the most part.
This course is the epitome of a pitch and putt. The longest hole plays straight down hill. The majority of the rest of the holes are around 200 feet.
Definitely a fun, easy course for beginners and great for a warm-up before the big course. Paired with the big course, and some of the great courses in the area, this course has a nice replay value.
