North Tahoe Lions Club DGC is a nice 18. The park is pretty heavily wooded. A couple of holes have slight dips and rises but it's mostly flat. There is a stream rolling between holes 11 and 12 on the back 9 but it isn't much of a threat.

The course is all par 3's, but there are a couple of tight fairways that can be tough to hit. Tee signs are good, and the rubber mats in the boxes are all pretty level and clean. The baskets are rimmed in yellow and usually easy to spot from the pad.

Tall trees are scattered all throughout the park. Usually there is a central line to the basket that is defined with trees on either side, but some have options of multiple gaps between the trunks.

Holes 4 and 9 have undulations in the ground around the pin. 11 is lined with bushy rough on either side and has a bit of a crook halfway down. 17 is kind of a fun line drive tunnel shot.

The layout is a little choppy. There is a long walk after hole 2, and another one after hole 14. Hole 17 and 18 are across the street from hole 1. The course map is helpful to navigate these transitions.

There are many other activities available at the park, and it is likely to be crowded on a nice day. The layout does a nice job avoiding the other attractions and the walking paths for the most part.

I had fun playing this one, but it's fairly tame compared to the others I visited in the area. It is less demanding physically. There are some tricky drives, but distances are manageable.

I was 3 over (57) on the round. My only birdie was on hole 5. Definitely could have done better. Perhaps I'll try again, Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area has a lot of good reasons to make a return trip.

My home course, easy to get to. Lots of shape shots. Only a few shots that are straight without hitting a tree or bush. Nothing really long here.
Mondays at 5pm, random doubles match.

The course seems to be a lot busier these days. Watch out for the random person throwing a ball for their dog around holes 3 to 9. This is something new. They don't seem to know that getting hit by a disc might hurt.
Third creek will eat a disc or two, when the snow run off is high in the spring.

The main reason for this review is to point out that 4 holes have been moved due to the addition of a bike course taking over the space for holes 17/18.

Hole 1 - The pad has been moved out to the edge of the street on Incline Way. The pin is straight ahead but blinded by trees. It is set inside of 2 to 3 trees.

Hole 2 - This pad was moved also and is off to the left of the first pin. This is another blind shot that fades off to the left, but still fairly straight from the pad.

Hole 17 - This has been moved across Incline Way. Walk out to the street from the pin at 16, cross the street and turn left and walk around 100 feet and you will see the pad to the right. There are at least three pins here. The first is a short dog leg left, the second is fairly straight off to the right about 10 to 5 feet. The third is behind the high large green leaf bush/tree straight ahead. Careful not to go to long to the right or you are in the creek or over it. Their is no way to cross it without getting wet, unless you go back to the road.

Hole 18 - The pad for this hole is toward the lake from pin placement A. A new trail is starting to be worn in. There are 4 pins on this hole. Three of them are to the left of the pad. One is angled to the left on a line from the pad.

All 4 of these new holes have added a certain amount difficulty due to trees and green leaf bushes. The grass is green and high in spring and early summer. Look to the grass to turn brown in late summer.
17/18 are not mark very well yet. No new signs.

Throw and go. Pretty standard but well placed baskets make this a solid place to play. I took fewer disc on this course.

Maybe a little packed and the walk from 2 to 3 and 14 to 15 are farther than the others.

This course is located in a park with tennis courts, baseball fields and a skate park close by. Winding through fairly dense trees along and over a creek, some guarded pins and a few challenging pars. A practice basket sits by itslef across the road into the park. Nice rubber tee pads and signage for each hole. Good mix of some open shots and some real tight tree lines with mandos to keep things interesting.Sometimes the creek has a bit of water in it, making for some sneaky O.B.

A few holes where a spotter may be needed because of thick brush. Some holes are pretty far apart, 4 or 5 minutes walk. A pin placement or 2 sits near other tee pads, but this course isnt very crowded so its not usually an issue. Some pins real tough to find from the pad, gotta go scout em out. Not much elevation change going on here.

This is a fun course with a feel similar to Bijou in South Lake or the Truckee River course, although I find this course to be a little cleaner than Truckee. Lots of shot types needed, as some mandos force you a certain way. Not a lot of turns being made, but tree locations make a good amount of the holes pretty tech, you cant just bomb out drives and have pick-up pars each hole like some of the easier desert courses nearby. A couple longer holes, good opportunities for birds and an ace run or two make for a fun round here.

The course plays through a multi use park using the leftover areas around other activities. This course is very accessible for newer players, it makes a nice complement to the other more challenging and technical courses in the area. About half the course plays through scattered mature trees with no rough and generous fairways. This part of the course offers little punishment for errant shots and ample opportunities for recovery shots after a missed fairway.

The other half of the course is a little tighter without getting too technical. There is enough brush to make you pay for really bad shots but not enough to hide discs or prevent creative par saves. There isn't really any elevation but some small dips and rises are used to make things a little more interesting.

The course is fairly short overall and has mostly straight shots. It draws on a very limited skill set to score well, experienced players won't need more than straight mid and putter shots to have birdie looks on all the holes. There isn't enough elevation or dense enough foliage to make things very interesting, and even the brushier holes don't have much punishment unless your shot is really horrible.

There are some serious safety issues with several holes throwing right on top of each other. This seems to be a pretty popular course for newer players and that exacerbates the conflicts. There are some really long walks, even with some directional arrows it's not immediately obvious where to go. A couple holes have multiple baskets in view, it can take a little extra effort to figure out where to throw.

This is a nice course for introducing the sport. It has enough challenge to keep things interesting for someone new without enough punishment or difficulty to get frustrating. Experienced players won't find any real interesting challenges here, it's a quick stress free round unless the course is crowded and discs are flying in on you from other holes.

I have a special place in my heart for this course. On the #7 hole, I threw my first ace. New pin placement "C", not sure on the distance. Very wooded shot, hyzer RHBH into the basket. I will be playing this course each and everytime I am in the Tahoe area. You can couple this with North Tahoe Regional park for a great day of discing. Make sure you stop off down the road at the CharPit for some delicious burgers, fries and cones.

- The grounds are well kept - very little trash and trails are maintained.
- Multiple ace runs.
- Lots of parking, and parking is close to hole 1.

- The maps give a general direction of the baskets but are not always accurate. Some have revised/additional pin positions drawn on them with sharpie but I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be there.
- No trash bins on the course itself, although you can find some in the nearby skate park or tennis complex.
- Fairly small course, many fairways are close together.
- Long walks to holes 3 and 15. It seems like more signs have been put up since the other reviews though. I had no problem finding the way.
- A couple other tee pads were more difficult to find. Course could use a few more directional signs.
-There is a lot of erosion control and habitat reconstruction going on around the creek. This in itself isn't a bad thing, but on some holes there is the risk of a bad throw landing in these areas.

The Lion's Club DGC does a great job with the limited space it occupies. It's wedged in between a tennis club and a school, but manages to get in 18 baskets without feeling too cramped. Most of the holes are on the short side, so the whole course can be played relatively quickly. There is a good mix of RHBH and LHBH favored holes, although it contained more RH shots overall. I would recommend the course for families, groups with less-powerful throwers, or for anyone looking for a less intense alternative to Tahoe's other courses. The whole course still offers a lot of tricky shots with multiple lines to the basket. There were a few other people playing through on the Sunday we were there but we never got stuck behind anyone. We took the advice of one of the other reviews and went to T's Mesquite Rotisserie after the course - loved it!

The newest course (2012) in the Tahoe area starts near the Incline Village Rec Center. There is a large course sign, a donation box, a practice basket across the street and on-street parking as well as parking in the Rec Center's lot. The course has nice rubber teepads, great colored signs and brand new Innova baskets with the yellow rims. Being a new course, everything is still in almost pristine condition. I really appreciated the washer system on the tee signs with the A and B basket positions indicated. That helped me playing here for the first time.
The first two holes play in the lower wooded area of the park. Then you have a long, unmarked hike to # 3. I finally figured out to stay beside the tennis courts all the way. Later, we directed some other lost first timers to the third teepad. Holes 3-10 play in this scattered forrest park section. The holes here were more recreational in nature, with several ACE runs.
The back nine features more brush, more trees, a small creek in play, more challenging holes and another fairly long, confusing walkout after # 14. Luckily, I had hooked up with a local DJ by now and was being guided through. There is a very little bit of elevation to contend with.

The long walkouts after # 2 and # 14 are always going to be problamatic. Some arrows pointing the way would help the first time players. It's a recreational course. Not as challenging as most others in the area although this could be a pro for many.

I enjoyed my round here. You're playing in the shade on those hot days. It's relatively flat and easy and a welcome change from the rigors of a No. Tahoe Regional's or a Zephyer's Cove.

This course in Incline Village presents an opportunity to play some laid back golf in the shade of towering pine trees and through some other local riparian foliage. A seasonal stream works it's way through the back half of the course. All of the pins are obtainable off of the tee.

The course begins in the lower part of the park, where you can find parking off the street or in the Rec Center parking lot if you like. After playing only two fairly wooded and brushy holes, you take a lengthy walk to the other end of the tennis courts to play the next segment of the course. This next segment is pretty easy to follow, but on at least a couple of the holes, it's a good idea to make sure you are throwing at the correct pins...several dips and hills obscure what may be your pin. I actually really liked this part of the course, holes 3-10 all play in this park-like section. With small rolling hills, minimal ground coverage, and simple holes with obvious objectives, these holes played fast and also provided an opportunity to watch other holes get played as well. Several signs indicate that this is a 'quiet section' for the neighbors, but no signs at the tennis courts indicated the same for them. The only noise we heard was that of the highway and screaming tennis children.

Beyond hole 10, the course once again enters a more brushy section of course, so be prepared for some minimal disc finding if somebody in your party is unable to keep the disc on the fairway. A local told us '5 is a good score on hole 11,' but as long as you stay on the fairway a 2 or a 3 is extremely possible.

The back 9 are a little more difficult to navigate than the front and having a map or another group to follow can come in handy...after hole 14 another long walk is in order to get you back to the first part of the course. These last 4 holes are probably the most challenging on the course (and maybe 14 as well) with a bit more length and bushes to run into trouble with. The course ends with little fanfare near hole one. We had a good time playing here, if only because birdies are tough to come by at most of the other courses in the Tahoe Basin.

If you are visiting the area with beginners or would like to have a family day out on the course, this one would be a good choice. As far as Tahoe being a destination for your vacation, I would place lower priority here as it is more of a community practice course, or try to fit it in between a couple of more difficult courses...your legs and your short game will appreciate the stop.

This is a fun little course that winds around terrain next to the Incline Village Recreation Center and a nearby school. I parked in the recreation center's parking lot and walked back down to hole 1, passing a practice basket along the entrance road.
--Excellent color signs indicating pin position
--Good rubber mat tee pads, which I normally dislike, but were well done
--Variety of shots, but mostly RHBH hyzers, and usually two routes to the pin
--Good use of mandatories
--You can see most of the pins from the tee, or with a short walk down the fairway

--After playing hole 2, you take a long (3-5 min) walk to tee #3. If you keep the tennis courts on your right as you head up the slope and the creeklet on your left, you'll hit tee #3 at the corner of the very last tennis court.
--After hole #14, you do the reverse walk, but this one you can cross the creeklet and follow it down or stay on the right side. Near a large bridge and some buildings, you'll find the tee for #15
--This is a multi-use area, so beware of dog walkers, trail bikers and joggers

I really enjoyed playing this course, and played it three days in a row, early in the morning. By 10 AM other disc golfers were showing up. Although most of the holes can be birdied, and you might have an ace run or two (my buddy Scott aced #10 with a forehand on his first time playing the course), it is not a pitch and putt course, which is what I expected given the first two reviews.

The creeklet (not much more than a few feet wide) runs clear but is not deep and never really comes into play unless you have a really errant shot. Not really a chance of losing a disc either.

- difficult navigation. One long walk and many holes where there are baskets bunched together making it trying to figure out which one to throw to
- Because the local environmental board's mission is to keep Tahoe blue, one of the problems with this course is the layout itself. Too many holes have the creek in play. When people go near or in the creek to get their discs, they will cause erosion. This will get washed into the lake and could be a problem down the road. The creek is very nice, but if the point is to prevent erosion, this design doesn't address it.

All in all, Incline is a fine way to laze away an afternoon or morning, or hit between more extreme courses like Vista, Zephyr, or Sierra College. Seemed really popular with young chuckers with one disc, as well as families and people of all ages. For them, it is a good introduction to disc golf. For people seeking a wilder experience, I'd pass on this course and head to one of the afore mentioned ones.

a little tough to navigate at first due to a couple walks between holes 2 and 3 also holes 14 and 15. For the most part it favors rhbh. Very little elevation change.

This course is pretty fun and worth playing on your way between Zephyr and Tahoe Vista. There is a 7-11 near by. After hole 2's basket walk up to the left of the tennis courts and keep walking, follow the creek on your left side. Keep walking ,keep walking until you FINALLY pass the last set of tennis courts. The next tee is around the corner of the final tennis courts. After hole 9 heads towards 4's tee and go right across the log bridge to 10's tee. After hole 14 cross the little wood bridge and hang a right and follow the slightly downhill path 6-700 ft to hole 15's tee. This course is brand new and is a nice addition to Tahoe's line up of courses. For sure get a T's burrito after your round. It's next to 7-11 on the main drag in town.
