Ohhh the Hills 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 8, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Fun design, mix of shots and can be very difficult for newer players

Cons:

Can be very difficult for newer players due to it being heavily wooded and holes not being clearly marked

Other Thoughts:

Local club works to keep in decent shape. hopefully tee pads will be fixed as well as maps and hole locations being updated.

Not As Fun as I Was Thinking 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 9, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Nice Teepads
- Nice Baskets
- Easy Directions to get to the park
- Fairly Easy flow from one hole to the next
- The Newer tee signs are absolutely beautiful
- Good mix of every shot is needed to complete this course
- A Good Mix of Distances as well

Cons:

- So many Unfairways. There are a lot of holes that are more of a luck shot then they are a skill shot and makes about half of the holes not fun to play.

- Low Cielings on about half of the holes. For me being really tall this is a big issue for me. There were so many holes that just were not fun to play because there was no legitimate way to hit a gap with the cielings.

- Lots of Very Very Very tight holes where there might be about a 5' gap to hit a hundred feet down the fairway. Making for some unpleasent holes.

- Lots of low hanging branches right over the teeboxs. Not an issue if you are short but for me the were really annoying.

- There were "Next Tee Signs" at the base of most pins but it was impossible to tell which way there were telling you to go.

- Markers telling you which position the pin is in would help a lot since there were a couple times when I threw to the wrong basket.

Other Thoughts:

- On the PDGA site it says that hole 1's tee is by the swingset. But there are 3 swingsets in site. Go to the oldest looking one.

- The Front half was a lot more enjoyable to play since you were not stuck in your shot selection. Where as the back half there was really only one way to play the hole.

- There is a mando on hole 1 that I didnt even see until I got up to it, so look out for that.

-Probably wont go back and play again until the course gets manicured better to not just play to shorter people.
