Holes 8 and 9 were not mowed yet as they've just restarted maintenance after COVID.

Has good signs and flow Uses the hills great. Baskets are excellent. Variety of shots. Lots of shots up the hills then back down.

9 ends at far end of lot and you have to walk back

Really, I only figured out 3 or 4 of the actual tee's, the rest I had to make up where I would put them.
Super long walk from hole 9 back to the parking lot.

This is a great park for a 9 hole course, too bad there is nothing marking where your suppose to tee off.

I really can't tell you much about the course because I do not know if I played it correctly.

Hole 1 was tee's off near the parking lot between a row of bushes and the tennis courts.

Hole 2 tees off by edge of the park next to the house. Nice hard hyzer hold downhill.

I have no idea where to tee off for the next 6 holes.
Basket 3 was up hill
Basket 4 was past basket 6, I could not figure this one out, I just threw from basket to basket.
Basket 5 has a nice green down by the creek
Basket 6 is up on the hill between 4 basket and 3.
Basket 7 is down the hill
Basket 8 is around the corning and down the creek.
Hole 9's tee box is to the right of #8 following the edge of the park. The basket was a nice slight turnover slightly uphill shot.

Then the super long walk all the way back to the parking lot.

Elevation changes keep things interesting, and the baskets are new and in great shape. Several basket placements (Nos. 5, 7 and 9) made good use of obstacles such as trees or water.

Not only are there no tee pads to speak of, the the flags/markers to identify the tee box are mostly missing. I only found one set in the ground (No. 7) and another set lying on the ground not attached to anything (No. 6). Baskets 4 and 6 are too close together.

There is potential here, but without a map or tee pads that are identifiable, this is a frustrating course. I'm not sure how much land was made available, but it almost feels as if 9 holes were wedged into an area more suited for 6 or 7.

This course has a good mix of short and moderate length holes. There are both L/R dog leg holes here as well as low ceiling shots. This park uses the present elevation very well, with both uphill and downhill shots being accounted for.
The course is well maintained and there are other amenities here as well, like a playground, pavilions, etc.
There are a couple of holes where water will come into play and there are lines that must be hit here to keep things interesting.
This is a good entry level course that will challenge but not frustrate players.
Rounds should play quickly here.
Also there is plenty of shade here for those hot summer months.

No signage just flags marking tees. Hopefully signage is in the works.
Tees can get slick in spots so as the course matures rutting might be an issue.
No trash cans or benches.
Hole 9 is a little ways from the parking lot, but not too bad.

Overall this is a good challenging 9 hole course that is fun to play. Players will be challenged with a variety of shots. As others have said this is a good warmup course for the other courses in town.
This course has a good balance of open and moderately wooded holes to keep things interesting. Its worth a play if you are in the area.

great starter course to get your arm warmed up to play the other courses in Longview.Love hole #5,down a hill,and another smaller hill,hole sits just in front of creek.Also like the air it out shots uphill on #3 and #6.It's just a few miles to Guthrie,and easy to jump on Eastman road to Hinsley.

holes #8 and #9 end this course uneventful,but sure its due to lack of space.The park was pretty trashy,but with people helping pick up seems to be getting better.

Love the elevation changes. Ace opportunities for new players and cannon arms alike. Gorgeous setting. Plenty of lanes for Safari holes. It's only had pins for about 2 weeks, and I've already had several all day outings to Ingram.

The only con is that there isn't a matching piece of property adjoined to lay out holes 10-18. Also 1 or 2 tees are at the base of a hill shooting up the hill, and the footing can be a little tricky, however, plans are in the works to build platform tees for these holes.

Longview has 3 different courses, each with it's own flare. Guthrie Creek is wide open. Hinsley Park is heavily wooded. Ingram Park is a hillside adventure. Good Stuff.
